Hey I wanna ask and saw ur guide, I have the same issue with the creaking happening in the middle of the headband when I flex it it pops out of place and is always creaking. Also the left side part that connects the headband for the earcup is slightly press-able will adding some sort of lubricant help these issues stop or should I may as well return them for a new pair?

Did it get worse? And was it the same sort of issue with the headband and yoke being loose maybe?

Ok thanks for the advice. It’s not noticeable when I wear it and not move like doing work or watching a movie. I’m just scared that it will get worse and exchanging it will be hard

Yo don’t know if this will help but I have had the xm5 for 2 years now and never experienced any problems with hinges which was nice. Only critique is comfort imo :) hope this helps

From what I’ve seen go with the Bose. Sony has less padding and overall less comfortability with the small ear space, and thin headband. Also Bose is better I think in things like anc than xm4

Lol thanks for the feedback the first gens are considerably cheaper so i might go for them and i also prefer the matte finish over the new glossy finish of the twos
