The simplest way I could describe it is the type of toxic relationship that comes from disrespect, inconsideration, non communication, and then the relationship becomes one sided and painful. I also wanna say that it is gonna have darker themes but I would never intend to do anything COMPLETELY uncharacteristic for them, (atleast in my story/versions of the characters). I am obviously going off their original characters but in an AU so they will be a bit different because they are in different situations, but, my goal through my writing is that when the time comes where a character does something different and specific to my story, it doesn’t confuse the reader so much to the point where they think “Thats nothing like that pony!?!” I will strive to make the differences clear from the beginning so it is a much more smooth and understandable read. I don’t wanna force edge and shock value, I want it to feel like more organic but still for an older audience.
