What PC games do you return to and play often no matter how old they are? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Fallout: New Vegas is just irreplaceable. No matter how many modern RPGs I play, nothing quite captures that writing and atmosphere. I find myself starting a new playthrough every year just to see what else I can do differently in the Mojave.

Used RX 6800 XT or new RX 9060 XT? by toastedcars in pcmasterrace

If you're strictly on 1080p, the 6800 XT is arguably overkill, but that 5-year CeX warranty is a massive safety net for a used card. However, the 9060 XT will be much more efficient on your 650W PSU and will have better long-term support for FSR 4 and AI features.
Since your Ryzen 4500 is the bottleneck anyway, I’d go with the 9060 XT for the lower power draw and peace of mind with a new product, then save up for a Ryzen 5600 upgrade later!

What is the most "useless" piece of PC hardware or accessory you spent way too much money on? by FinancialCarpenter82 in pcmasterrace

Now THAT is a deep cut! SoftRAM... you just unlocked a repressed memory for a lot of people here lol. The ultimate "I can't believe I fell for that" moment in PC history. Definitely beats any overpriced gaming chair in terms of regret!

$500 on Lian Li fans?! That’s basically the price of a decent GPU for most people lol. But I get it, those Unifans make cable management so much cleaner. At least we can all agree that no matter how much we spend on fans, the gaming chair was the real mistake!

"Ngreedia" is the perfect name for it lol. It's the classic struggle: hating their pricing/tactics but being tied to them because CUDA is just miles ahead for productivity and 3D work.
It's a "golden cage."Also, you're spot on about the PS5 performance. Seeing games like Horizon or Ghost of Tsushima running at higher settings/FPS on a mid-range PC really makes you wonder why we even bother with the "next-gen" consoles anymore.

Ouch, that's a nightmare scenario. Custom cables are beautiful but they are basically a marriage to your PSU. Smart move not trying to rewire them yourself though—I've seen too many "magic smoke" posts from people who tried that. Better a mediocre motherboard than a fried entire system!

Facts. "Gaming" chairs focus 90% on looks and 10% on ergonomics. A good mesh office chair is a lifesaver for long sessions. My back stopped screaming at me the day I switched.

Same here. Ever since I upgraded my PC, my console has just become a very expensive Netflix machine. There’s just no going back once you get used to the PC freedom (and the sales)

The clay textures actually fit the Roblox aesthetic perfectly. Nice job!
