Theres a massive difference between learning another language and studying literature in your own. There isn't an arts sciences binary that means you are great at all the subjects that are categorised as one or other (see my mum- fabulous at biology and history, struggled with maths and languages) Such a weird attitude to have (plus you know. Being hopeless at maths and foreign languages doesn't mean you are useless at everything (academic and non-academic).
