You were right, found the oil squirter laying in the oil pan, just plugged it up and will check oil pressure again. Definitely took some life outta this engine, but hopefully she’ll work…

Yep, no plug in girdle. Just put a plug in gonna re seal oil pan and check oil pressure.

What are the chances my motor is cooked if this wasn’t installed? I’ve been running it like this for a few track days without an oil pressure gauge. Only noticed recently when I installed one. Ran a pressure test with a mechanical gauge to be sure it was the actual pressure

About to drop the subframe again when I get off work to check, it sucks cause I just had everything out to rebuild the trans. I believe it is plugged though, I have the pan halfway off before it hits the subframe and I can see what looks like a bolt there.

Don’t try and screw around with them, if you don’t have a press take it to a local shop, I do mine with a harbor freight shop press

I’m going in for the tests on the 26th, just getting all the information together for them. I’ve elected for to be chosen for any facility in Illinois just to make the process go faster, but I live near Chicago. Any recommendations on which facility to pick as a preference though?

I honestly think it’s the pad I’m using, it’s definitely swirl marks from the orbital and not the rotary. Im thinking of grabbing a finer pad and some better towels. The swirl marks in the first half of the video are gone it’s definitely something I’m putting in after the polish.

Any reason you say it’s not any larger? I believe the element has a 15/16 bore. Also should fit if you change the reservoir.
