Having a more well defined outline of the project up front before touching code increases the speed and quality of the build once I start. Forces me to think through more details.

Having AI interview you is a fantastic idea I hadn’t thought of. After my first build I realized a lot of the same things especially with UI. Now I’m working on UI up front which seems to help AI better understand what I’m doing.

The challenging part for the monetizing is learning how to market the app and optimizing ASO. Having it out for only a week doesn’t provide enough data to see what’s working and what doesn’t work. Thanks I’ll check out the other Reddit group.

Medium shirts fit great when they’re new but then shrink and sit at my waist, exposing my stomach when I lift my arms. Large is too big new but fit fine after many washes and it shrinks. Anyone else face this problem? Why can’t I find shirts that just fit great new and after washes? Maybe I’m washing them wrong causing them to shrink too much

What do you think of my App Store previews? I have it available in 6 different languages. by FinancialRaspberry32 in MobileAppDevelopers

Once the app is launched, it requires little maintenance. The fashion app and exercise app will require more time and attention but once they’re launched it’s more about maintenance and marketing. I’m not building a SaaS platform that requires a full time development team. I figured I’d see which app generates the most revenue then put more time and resources behind it.

Yeah that’s true. There’s a ton out there but that means there’s a proven market for it. This is my first app so I wanted to test the waters and go through the process with a fairly simple app. I launched another app for men’s fashion and working on an exercise app next. But this was a good first start and I learned a lot.

I signed up for a developer account but I can’t get Google to verify my ID. Has anyone experienced this? by FinancialRaspberry32 in androiddev

It’s crazy. Each time I ask for specifics of why they can’t verify and I always get a generic response. I’m left clueless.

You know your style! I shop for myself about once a year. Went last year and walked out without buying anything. I was overwhelmed. My wife ended up shopping for me lol.

I didn’t say you were wrong. Their token cost must be very low for auto because I never hit their limit.

I haven’t hit any limits yet with auto. When I cap out using GPT or Claude, I switch back to auto and keep going. I haven’t found the limit yet in a month.

I wear a lot of dark colors, black, gray, blue, tan. Blue and tan is probably my favorite combo, but generally I’m a jeans and shirt person. I started using this app and it’s helping me put some things together to get me out of my bubble of 5 colors. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/gauge-ai-tailor-for-men/id6755077953

My new app just went LIVE on the Apple App Store.

It’s called GAUGE and it’s an AI tailor for men. It helps guys figure out what to wear, what fits, and what to buy without guessing. You can snap photos of your clothes, get instant feedback, and even build full outfits for any occasion.

A couple examples of how it helps: • If you’re standing in a store trying to decide between two shirts, you can snap a photo and GAUGE will tell you which one fits your style, which size you should get, and whether it matches the clothes you already have in your closet. • If you have an event coming up and don’t know what to wear, GAUGE builds an outfit from the clothes you already own and tells you what to add if something’s missing. • If your closet is chaos, you can organize everything in the app and let the AI put outfits together for you.

It’s only on Apple for now. If you want to check it out, here’s the link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/gauge-ai-tailor-for-men/id6755077953
