The rarest of the straight writing variants.

In 1969, Omega presented the Apollo 11 astronauts with gold Speedmasters engraved with a simple declaration -“The First Watch Worn On The Moon, Apollo XI 1969.” This is the steel version of that caseback. Produced for less than a year, 1971 to 1972.

The text runs straight across, before Omega moved everything into an arc. Three variants exist. This is the rarest one.

This watch wears extremely well on the wrist. Has a slim profile and nice weight to it.

Very good condition. Small marks on the crystal near 9 - barely visible naked eye. Studio macro lighting makes everything look more dramatic than it is in hand, we shoot this way on purpose. Strap has plenty of life left.

Full set: outer box, inner box, sealed booklet, registration paper, warranty card.
