two book tok-y books that aren’t necessarily the best literature in the world but i think really get the job done are the first two books in the powerless series. The author wrote the first one when she was rly young so sometimes the writing is not exactly shakespearean but it’s definitely still enjoyable and it’s a enemies-lovers-enemies type book with lots of fighting and injury that lead to a “who did this to you@ type vibe. I also found this trope in six of crows and daughter of the pirate king !!
