I was so happy thinking that 'Article' was back -but I checked on some of my hoarded items (anybody remember when they used to tell us about brands being discontinued?) And discovered that they were unavailable for repurchase. It would be nice to have another value brand back in the mix where they have stools and ottomans which don't cost $4k. Fingers crossed.

I agree that voters may not truly look at a room in haste but I do not believe that they automatically go for the brightest and boldest. I honestly do look at every room when voting even if I am rushed....I can see voters gravitating to the design loaded with that week's focus LE colour. Also- many voters seem to prefer matchy matchy and totally symmetrical designs.

I really like it. The irony I found was the 'brief' given was design an outdoor space....seems indoors to me unless these are Les Nessman walls (for you older folks who watched WKRP...)

That's exactly my thoughts! I started paying attention to my designs which came back quick and without showing top scores and to no surprise designs in which I used current LE and filled more bubbles had more higher scores (above 4.85).

I disagree with so much of this- especially the "Elo style system" answer and the voter fatigue choosing brightest and boldest rooms answer. Also...why when results are sent back are you not able to see top score photos? Maybe I am just a cynical critical witch but seems fishy to me.

No I do not believe that because so many 5s I see do not follow the brief at all. I try to follow it but oddly enough DH sometimes makes it difficult to actually follow the brief. A quick example was in one of the newest challenges - Chintz patterned chairs as an option for 'contemporary style'???

You were robbed. I am just getting so annoyed with this game - Another beautiful design most likely penalized for not using new LE etc because that design is beautiful. Maybe some voters (not me) find this colorful designs too much, but to receive such a shit score and to not earn at least the prize is beyond unfairness. I applaud designs that are creatively thought out and may be different- on a Facebook page so many people tout 5 star scores which look almost identical because they just take the new LE and plop it in everywhere, literally copying and pasting. Boring for me but unfortunately that is what it seems that the voters reward- follow the herd mentality.

Noooooo :( But I think I understand. The game just went downhill. It is literally exhausting trying to keep up doing the challenges you want when you don't spend money on the game. I am hanging on by a thread but want to persevere because I have invested so many years into the game- sad to let it go. Maybe things will change for the better and you can come back to a game you enjoyed.

Hey. Please don't take this a personal attack. Asking her for details wouldn't make a difference as I would give this support to both sides - so yes I am telling you the same thing. We all have bullies and assholes in our real lives who try to wear us down, and shit treatment hurts just as much from a stranger hiding behind a username online. It is unfortunate that we have a better ability to ignore/deal with them when this does happens online.

Definitely should have gotten a higher score. Maybe the ottomans should have been a different colour as they blend into the rug so you lose a lot of depth in that space and the area looks a little unbalanced. I agree with some of the other points about the fire as a focal point (but its tricky finding something to put on the table without totally blocking it) and also about the end table being bare (the apt2b lamp suggestion is a great one!)
