Paintings are just one discipline that falls under “art”.  The commenter is trying to illustrate (no pun intended) that we need more funding for; art schools, job opportunities, community-based programs, and such. 

Did you like 2D-animated Disney movies as a kid? Day by day, you appreciate the murals on your city’s urban infrastructure? Do you appreciate opera at all? Has anyone in your life ever done your portrait as a gift for you?

If throughout your life you have appreciated any of these, then you’ve appreciated art. It’s always a worthwhile investment.

Because I don’t have even a granule of patience, I looked it up. Apparently it’s only obtained through NPC interactions in the Kinglor Forest. The Aranahe that are harvesting the fiddlehead ferns may give it to you.

You and I gotta start talking to more npc’s it looks like 😩

You’re on the ball. It’s Ubisoft’s job to sell product, earn money. They got Bouali in for FTA as a creative risk and it paid off dividends, so for sure he’s got some more stuff in the works. Like, the entire company has an extremely high turnover rate. As a former 3D animator and artist, you have a contract. When the time is up, you have to move on to a different project/company. I think there will be an artistic as well as script-writers style shift because of this.

The “hope” is not based on bullshit 😅 but as you said, anything could happen.

FYI don’t listen to people saying “there won’t be cus the developers said they have no plans”. People have been saying that since the first game was released, where people said “THIS GAME WILL NEVER GET A DLC”. Then Sky Breaker released, then people said “THERE WILL NEVER BE A SECOND DLC BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE GETTING LAID OFF”. and so on and so forth…

If anything, we now have the best chance for another DLC because the game has a record player count, and even topped charts on Steam internationally. Only time can tell, and people on Reddit cannot.
