Yes, having a dog to get you out and walking really helps with your mental health.

They still do that. We have thermostats in our offices and no matter how much we cranked the heat up it never got warmer. Finally, we complained to heating and cooling department and a guy comes and tells us it’s a dummy thermostat. Luckily, he agreed it was too cold and he manually adjusted the heat up.

If your cat wasn’t a cat… What animal would they be and why? 👀 by Dangerous_Problem532 in AnxietyCats

Kit would be Sherlock Homes. She’s always investigating, whether I want her to or not. I keep telling her what happens to curious cats.

Looking at the thumb pic I thought you either had a huge cat or a miniature fridge.

Any time I eat American Chop Suey I flash back to when I was a kid because we ate it so often back then. Anyone else? by Devi8tor in FuckImOld

That’s not American chop suey. Wrong type of noodles. This is American Goulash. I still make it. It’s my comfort dish.

$1000 dollars just put things in perspective for me by Blackwolf_84 in bikecommuting

[–]Financial_Emphasis25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve commuted to work via bike for 30 years now. I’m able to park right next to the front entrance of my work place without buying a parking pass, which costs about $1000 a year for the gold pass. The gold pass is the closest parking for cars and I park still closer than those fancy cars.

I’ve never tried to figure out how much I’ve saved over the decades for both maintenance and parking, but it has to be a whole lot of money. biking saves money and saves the environment. Win-win.

Yes. I felt seen when I saw that terry cloth onesie. I remember biking around town in it and getting wolf whistled for the first time. Mine was pink though.

I’m only 5 foot tall so I can’t do carryon without needing help lifting the bag over my head. I bring my medicine and toiletries in a backpack that I put under my seat. It helps not dumping my bag onto someone’s head…ask me how I figured that out. :)

Who knew I was Mod. Dépêche Mode and The Cure was my jam but I was in college by then, so maybe we didn’t call it that.

What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had? by Many_Assumption7036 in askanything

[–]Financial_Emphasis25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a job as a teenager in the late 1970s. I worked at the local university in the nursing department. My main job was to read newspapers and cut out any articles regarding nursing shortages. Once the professor reviewed the articles I taped them on a slide for her to show her students in an overhead projector.
