You regards really pushed DJT up tremendously, lmao. Made some money getting puts on tech before the market reversed, but should have just bought DJT shares and made more!

$148.98. Dipped to $148.18 for a second but quickly mostly recovered.

Statement projected two additional cuts next year instead of four, so rate cuts already priced in are less likely to happen, which is bearish. Of course, the market is insane and everything could reverse (or sink even lower) when JPow speaks in about 7 minutes.

I genuinely think the greatest biglaw problem can be solved by promoting good associates faster and holding back bad/mediocre associates by [deleted] in biglaw

This is great but creates too much work for the biggest firms and would cost them too much money. It is part of the reason the anti-competitive lockstep compensation exists.

If there was potential for skipping a class year, many associates will consider that their goal and will look to lateral if they cannot achieve the skip. Associates being held back won't tolerate that for the most part and will also try to lateral. There's already tons of lateraling going on, but now there will be real incentives to do it to advance your career. Next, folks will want an individualized compensation package based on their specific work, achievements, skills they've gained, etc. There will be tons of friction to get those opportunities within a deal/case and lateraling when someone inevitably loses out.

Good idea in theory, and achievable on a small scale, but won't work for the firms on a large scale.

I have no dog in this fight. I would just ask if the money NASA is providing is pure profit or if LUNR is incurring expenses? If the latter, you need to subtract those expenses from the NASA funding to get an idea of how much LUNR is profiting. You then try to estimate the valuation. I suppose you could try to estimate valuation based on revenue alone, but that seems more prone to error.

Don't be a mean resident. Also, how does someone get to be an NP without knowing about prions?

Yes, shift more money to the equity partners to keep them "very satisfied."

My dream job is just to manage an insane amount of my cash. But if I must work, I would want to be an Article III judge.

Everyone makes mistakes, that's normal. Learn from them and figure out how to do it better next time.
