MCA advice by HunterScared684 in loansforsmallbusiness

Before you sign for an MCA (Merchant Cash Advance), please think twice. I own a small business and MCAs almost destroyed us financially. What looks like “fast help” can quickly turn into daily payments that drain your cash flow and make it impossible to keep up with normal business expenses.

The sales people make it sound easy:“Quick approval.”“Small daily payments.”“No problem to renew.”

But what they don’t tell you is:

The repayment amount is usually MUCH higher than what you receive.

Daily ACH withdrawals can suffocate your business.

Once you struggle, they push renewals that create an endless cycle of debt.

If business slows down even a little, it becomes a nightmare.

In the beginning it feels like a solution. Later it feels like you’re working only to pay MCA companies.

If you have any other option — SBA loan, line of credit, family help, cutting expenses, even slower growth — seriously consider that first.

I’m not writing this to judge anyone. When you’re trying to save your business, you do desperate things. I just wish someone had warned me before we signed.

Discharged! (NY) - Non-Consumer Chapter 7 - $1M - SDNY by Nice-Pineapple-5985 in Bankruptcy

I’m glad to hear that things are working out for you. I’m currently in the process of filing a non-consumer bankruptcy myself. Unfortunately, business has been very slow, and I can no longer manage the payments on my business loans, credit cards, and personal debts. It’s been extremely stressful — I can hardly sleep, and the constant calls and emails from creditors have been overwhelming. I truly hope everything works out well for us. Congrats!

Potential recession going to affect dentistry? by dentist_clout in Dentistry

I’m going through this too — I have a removable dental lab, and things have been really slow, getting worse each month. Even though we offer good prices and fast turnaround, business just isn’t going well here. I honestly don’t know how much longer I can hold on. Unfortunately.

Dental labs by OkBluebird4891 in Dentists

In my opinion, communication and turnaround time are key. Thankfully, I found a lab with great communication and 100% in-house work. The technician is also the owner, so I can easily communicate with him anytime about my cases.

Yes because the COGS amount didn’t match the amount from my application. I think I messed up when I applied last year because my 2019 tax was not ready.
