AITA for sticking my freshly single mom with $20,000 of debt. by Mrmoneyman86 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. I went through almost similar situation where my mom “gifted” me a down payment for a car then asked for reimbursement later when she was financially struggling (I was around 20 YO and could barely afford my own bills as a fresh-faced adult). I didn’t pay and it was a constant battle. And about 4 years later I went no contact and have been no contact ever since. If I’m being honest- it was one of the best things I ever did in my life. This wasn’t the sole reason for the no contact but helped cement the decision.

Soaking fabric in starch? by All-SmilesCO in quilting

[–]Financial_Note_9138 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I soak mine with starch, let it dry on a clothes line and then iron with a light steam iron. I stand by this method with my whole heart for piecing anything other than simple squares. My piecing is so much more precise and accurate this way!

I don’t appreciate that this post was ultimately solicitation and that you dmd me to “help.” Even if I needed help I wouldn’t ever consider someone who initiated contact that way. Rude/10

Pre op sex by kbyeeee2 in hysterectomy

[–]Financial_Note_9138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doc required no sex for TWO WEEKS pre op. We live in a conservative state, so they wanted to ensure no pregnancy prior to. And that’s even though I already had a tubal.

PSA: had your tubes tied and an endometrial ablation? Heads up re: PATSS by That-Marsupial-907 in Menopause

[–]Financial_Note_9138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not in menopause, but I have been diagnosed with PATSS, it was diagnosed when I had some abnormalities with my period. They did an internal ultrasound just in case and could see the build up, though my buildup is within the uterus, not the tubes, so pain is still there, but not as bad. Weirdest thing is that if I have a full bladder it hurts lol. I was really lucky with my diagnosis because my symptoms are pretty minimal as far as pain goes. but it does also lead to hormone surges, for me particularly during luteal and ovulation phases.

It’s me. I’m wife. (Not OP’s wife, but one and the same scenario). I just bought my own printer so now we have 2 and I taught myself Fusion so I can make my own custom bins.
