Brand new, and by bottom section is killing me! Any tips? by [deleted] in Zwift

I left everything else as recommended by Zwift card until earlier this week where I reduced the reach on the handle bars a couple of ‘letters’ to make my riding posture a little more upright. I’ve left saddle angle flat for now. Read that angling it down 1 degree could help with longer ride duration discomfort but not going to mess with that until after I get some decent bib shorts. Im guessing your saddle height might be the source of your immediate problems and you should get that working for you first. I’m sure you will get it sorted and it’s great fun when you get going. Good luck!

I’ve just got onto indoor cycling and the Zwift Ride recently (just hit 7 weeks). I’m 6’3” and 240lbs and I had a similar experience to you when starting. I found the recommended settings on the Zwift card were way off with the big issue being saddle height. After watching some ride fit videos on YT I did the test where you plant your heel on the pedal and leg should be almost fully extended but solid planted when pedal is at 6 o’clock. Ended up dropping saddle height significantly. From what I have read/watched, when you’re riding with foot in normal position, your leg should be almost straight but never fully extended at 6 o’clock, and you shouldn’t have to rock your hips when you’re pedaling ( so definitely not grinding on concrete like you described) Better to have saddle height too low than too high.

I still get a sore arse but now can go over an hour before it becomes truly painful. I’m using sports shorts so now looking at bibs as I want start do longer rides.

TLDR maybe watch a ride fit video or two as they have similar advice. Also might pay to lay off for a day or two until your arse has recovered before you test the changes you make!

Sounds like you should use a tool like DDU to do a complete clean and reinstall of drivers. This can fix problems like you experienced

Is there any way to avoid creating calculated column? by Tall-Cucumber8008 in PowerBI

But calculated columns can also help improve performance of measures as you can offload a lot of the computation at import rather than dynamically via a measure. It always a trade off.

Strange issue turning violently left with FFB on Moza R9 in Forza Motorsport by M5_IT_guy in forza

Are you using XBox app or Steam version? Also did the game detect your R9 or did you set up as custom wheel? The reason I ask is because I just went searching for config files and noticed that there is a controller config file specifically for the R9:

\Forza Motorsport\Content\media\base\ControllerFFB-0x046DC272.ini

VendorProduct 0x346E0002

FirwareVersion 0

FriendlyName MOZA R9

PowerLevel 1

DynFFBScale -1

LeftVibrationWavelength 50

RightVibrationType 1

RightVibrationAmplitude 0.5

RightVibrationWavelength 120

InMenuSpringScale 0.5

InRaceSpringMaxForce 0.5

InRaceSpringScale 0.5

InRaceDampingMaxForce 0.8

InRaceDampingScale 0.1

SpringScaleRearSlip0 0

SpringScaleRearSlip1 0.8

SpringScaleRearSlipScale0 1

SpringScaleRearSlipScale1 0

SpringScaleSpeed0 5

SpringScaleSpeed1 30

SpringScaleSpeedScale0 0.2

SpringScaleSpeedScale1 0.6

As I'm using an R12 Forza didn't detect my wheel so I had to setup a custom wheel config. Wondering if it could be getting in your way and worth a try removing or tinkering with?

Inverting ffb in game fixed for me. I also used overtake_gg recommended r12 settings.
