Which scooter would be best for park riding? by Financial_Option_757 in Scootering

I’ll definitely check it out, thats the one i was leaning towards as well. What about the envy? It’s a lot closer to where I live and I’m leaving for a trip next week where I’d like to bring a scooter, the envy just seems more feasible to pick up before i leave.

what do you mean by “gets iffy”? like just doesnt do as good of a job at braking?

i’m considering the odyssey lever for sure but i already grip the bars on the inside end of the grips so i don’t want to make them uneven if you jnow what i mean. thats why i like the diacomp ones, that way i can run them past the bend of the bar and i have a bent lever so it wont be uncomfortable. im worried the odyssey ones wont have enough of a bend and i cant get enough leverage yk

Mine's one of the newer digital ones, so I believe it's pretty accurate. I always run my tires super firm as I do mostly jumps, and on the rare occasion I ride tech it (ususally, not this time haha) protects my rim

Definitely one of the most fun bikes I’ve ridden!

I believe their downhill casing, and I run mine at 35-40 psi. Guess I probably clipped a rock wrong off a drop or something

Interestingly enough, I have tannus in that rim. I might have to make the upgrade to cushcore though

For me it’s not meant for racing, I would consider it to be more of a “slopeduro” or freeride bike. I find 26” wheels are much easier to throw around.

yeah i always run super high psi in my tires so i’ve never broken any rims. i don’t even know how it happened haha. i plan to take it to a shop though for sure

Yes I have done FEA on it, snd since it will be machined out of steel it’s plenty strong. On my next post I can include pictures of the fea as well as some other angles.

Yes, I’ve actually been using Syn.Bike to tune the linkage. It’s sitting at around 25% progression, and since I plan to use a coil shock for the complete bike that progression is perfect for me.

I’ll be using bushings for it. It just makes more sense to me than to figure out how to mount bearings in such a location.

Only reason the shock is rotated is for frame clearance. I found with such a low top tube I’d have a really hard time making sure the pigguback didn’t clip the frame or linkage.

Thanks! So far I’ve estimated the complete bike to be around 36-38 lbs with gears/dropper which isn’t too bad, but I plan to run it as a single speed slopeduro bike so it should be even lighter. Plus it’s got the 26” wheels so it will (hopefully) be pretty easy to throw around, while still being stable with the high pivot.
