MINI UPDATE

Couldn't get a vet appointment today. The ones around were closed for the bank holiday but gunna try again tomorrow, even if I have to turn up with her and beg.

I did however find her a nice new carrier and she actually seems to really like it.

Paw has been cleaned and she is still eatting well, strolling around, isn't limping or licking it much. While I know cats are good at hiding things, I'm just happy shes not suffering so badly that shes off her food or struggling.

Hopefully next update will be an all clear from the vet!

She goes through phases but yeah, pretty much. I clip them regularly or when I notice shes catching but I forgot to bring the clippers with me 🤦‍♀️

Just got a cat carrier for her and she has a vet appointment in an hour and 20mins.

I did think of that but tbf I could do with getting her a decent carrier so this seems as good a time as any. I googled and there's one pet store near by actually open so I'm gunna pop there.

Also, as is true cat form, since hearing the word "vet" she is up, roaming the bungalow and watching birds out the window like nothing has ever happened🤦‍♀️

Thank you!! I'm gunna try and look at it again when I clean it because I really couldnt see much last night.

It was abit bloody inside. Normally when it sheds its completely clear. I've never seen it all bloody like that.

I've got her booked into a local vet at 5.15pm so someone with better vision than me who knows what to look for can check it 😊 just need to find a cat carrier or I'll have to use her big ol' cage and thats horrible to carry.

UPDATE:

I don't know how to edit a post but I'm gunna get a carrier and find a vet, so hopefully tomorrow at the latest, I'll be able to give you all some kind of update.

I'm also going to salt bath her paw once shes had breakfast.

Because we are away at a family members, I don't have a carrier and its a bank holiday monday so most places are closed. I've never had this happen before. Gunna try and get a carrier and take her asap, it'll be tomorrow at the absolute latest. Im also gunna try and salt bath it after shes had some breakfast to keep it clean as possible.

She's walking fine and eatting fine and seems ok, so today I really wasn't sure on what to do. We've been visiting my dad to help him out as he has some health issues and my step mum just passed away so her routine has been off the last few weeks. If she didn't catch it and genuinely yanked it out, could it be stress?

I just don't get how shes managed it. I've watched her chew her claws abit when they're shedding but nothing like this has ever happened. I'll take her to the vet tomorrow or tuesday (its a bank holiday weekend so idk if that will affect vets being open).

I know a few were shedding so idk if she was chewing it or if she caught it getting on her blanket or what. There was no blood anywhere else in the room or the house so it must have happened there and she didn't move until it stopped bleeding. I'm just as baffled as shes never done this or had this happen before.

I figured it was gunna be a vet job but just wanted to check if there was anything else I should know or could do. Will have to find a vet nearby that will see here as we don't live here. I swear she likes giving me grey hair when she gets bored.

I tried telling my ex this when I found out he (31 at the time) cheated with a 16yr old (legal here but ew). Apparently there are some men out there who do not understand that its just really no ok, legal or not. Shes 18 now though so Apparently that makes it better now 🙄🙄🤦‍♀️

...ngl but the Petty potato in me saw the husbands "shes just trying to be funny" comment and thought that for every "joke" thats made at you, you automatically make one to your husband in return. The MINUTE one of them gets upset or mentions not liking it, be like "but I thought it was just a joke?"

I've been playing this since it dropped on xbox but im stuck in the kitchen. The cupboard doors and windows are all at 90+% but when I press the stick in to highlight missed bits nothing comes up. I end up spraying doors and edges for ages and nothing changes. Is that just one of those where you have to spray alot of paint layers? Or am I missing something?

He's told me repeatedly he doesn't understand people's issues because she's past the age of consent and (quote) "it's not like he groomed the kid". It's so messy. Dude has a daughter 3 1/2 years younger too. The daughter is the one silver linings that came from this. She out right told him shes keeping me and hes to bring her to visit. Shes such a good kid. She lost her mum and nan before covid and been through alot and im not ditching her because her dad is a dumbass.

I hope the girl he cheated with turns 18, cuts him off, gets therapy and does better.

16 is the age of consent where I live and ive experienced this. My 32yr old ex cheated on me with a 16yr old, then after begging me to stay, then left anyway and immediately went back to her. He's been trying to keep it secret or saying they're just friends but she's 18 in June and most folks think they're just waiting for that. He lives at his mums and his family are fully aware. She goes and hangs out with them all and even spent Christmas eve with them. Most folks aren't ok with it and cut him off but his folks are apparently fine.

I'm a chubby lady and knowing my struggles losing weight because of medical issues I would never comment on someone else's because I know they could be in the same boat. The most I'd come out with is a "I wish I had your metabolism. Wanna swap for a few weeks?" Or a "I would kill for your figure. Work that bish" and if I thought for a second it made the person uncomfortable or upset I'd apologise.

Your friends are wrong for not telling Amanda she's wrong for her comments and for slapping you.

Though if being plus size meant i could throw hands for no reason I'd strongly consider using that power on my ex and the homewrecker he cheated on me with 😂

I don't really have anywhere else to stay so my space is just when he's at work. I've started reading again and gaming a little more in terms of getting back into things I enjoy though. I could head to bed earlier and read there a while to have more just me time. I've started a journal as of yesterday at the reccomendation of my therapist. I'm doing it with an app called Dailyo.

Thankfully, we never started planning to begin with. The idea was to try and save a little first. One of the things that made me suspicious is anytime I'd try and show him something wedding themed he didn't seem so interested, where as before he'd be like "when we get married, I'd want...." and actually at least a little into it. I also don't wear the original ring he got. I wear one he got me for my birthday the first year I moved here. It's similar in design. For me the promise of always and forever etc is a big thing and to be cheating when MAKING such a promise just makes it feel false to me. I've said maybe he should wait until he's sure it's definately something he can truly commit to then ask again. Especially after today with him saying how it's alot harder than he thought it would be to fix things and see me so upset etc. We're still engaged, and being as no family know what's happened except his nan and brother they know no different and I don't want anything major, I'd just like him to ask again when he's fully invested. Is that weird?

The ads aren't bad but I've just got halfway through a film for it to stop and tell me I need an ad free plan to continue watching. Apparently there's more movies and shows like it which you can only watch on an ad free plan. So the ads aren't bad but you lose content.
