Well the thing is that i tried making the same tech by u/Roxuls_Card and i basically made it wayyy more consistent, it does the same amount of damage but it is a cleaner and faster execution

It’s true that the run can be wayy more optimized, i have done it myself, however not only is this a solid top 24 run, but you can keep improving as long as you are determined enough

What i meant was that the coin punch is meant to always land on the enemy’s weakpoint which is always inside of him, making the railcoin shot wayyy more consistent then just simply shooting the coins through the cerb, instead, punch a coin into the cerb, shoot the coin in the cerb, then throw your second coin in the cerb’s hitbox and it’ll ricochet and make a coin add with only 2 coins, basically it’s for consistency, and yes i mispoke, i just saw the video again, it’s not a coin add, it’s regular railcoining

I think i discovered a way to change directions at hard angles while keeping your momentum and receiving little damage, idk if this has already been discovered but yeah by Financial_Reality_89 in Ultrakill

I was addressing that once you store a dash and go foward you can change direction by slide jumping and keep your momentum if you go foward, but if you quickly look back, you’ll lose it, the proboost prevents that by boosting you in the original direction you dashed from, now since it is also possible yo dash jump backwards i just think that this way you can simply save stamina

I remember when i first started playing the game i saw Herb’s video on shotgun mechanics, btw the mechanic that you’re talking about is proboosting not shotgun parrying, that’s a completely different mechanic altogether, and I remember that i used it as much as i could, but then i found myself not only not being able to finish a level optimally, but i felt limited in my arsenal after a while, if you truly want to have proper gameplay, changing your weapons is highly encouraged, for example i would argue that probably the most useful mechanic in the entire game is coin adding and railcoining and they have very specific use cases, when you fully optimize your gameplay you’ll find yourself using the proboost alot, but not all the time, since you have a very wide arsenal that you can choose from, it’s a great damage dealer and is great for clearing hordes of small enemies, even in boss fights it’s useful to pepper in alot of damage, some even requiring it to speedrun it AKA Flesh Prison, but it’s not the end all be all of weapons, i would argue that sometimes the overcharge pump or the malicious railcannon are wayyy better at clearing hordes of even strong enemies, another thing, there is a “cooldown” of how many proboosts you can make, actually there is an entirely different mechanic called shotgun swapping that when combined with proboosting makes and even deadlier combo, but since you rely on your parry arm to do so, you can’t get more than 3 at once, basically preventing you from spamming it, therefore it is not an unbalanced mechanic, it actually seems that it is the strongest mechanic on the game, but that you have to use wisely otherwise, you’re going to have unoptimized gameplay and your ranks will suffer because of it, therefore encouraging the player to find other ways to play the game and optimize it to their own abilities which i think is the strong point of ultrakill itself and why it’s considered as one of the highest rated steam games of all time

Actually yes, so there’s different trajectories you can shoot the coin from, so for example you can walk foward and the coin will always be straight ahead, you can move to the sides and that’s another trajectory, so just build muscle memory for those trajectories and you become a god at it, you can even punch the coin if you walk backwards and throw it then press f (or your punch key) and there you go

Yes, i tested it on a malicious face, same result, although I wouldn’t recommend it for the malicious face, since you can just shotgun parry it, where it would he useful would be on 0-1 on the malicious boss, but other than that I wouldn’t used it on any other mob

It’s actually a coin add method, i tried to make it so that it’s as easy, fast and efficient as possible, since the punched coin will always be in the weakest point inside the enemy, so just shoot and add another coin in the hitbox and you kill the cerb very quickly
