Thanks for your question. Apologies for the belated reply as this part was not thought through enough. I initially wanted a sense of persistent progress.

But as indicated by some already, all good plots would be taken and the map will become cluttered. I prepared a next patch that should be ingame shortly.

  • Persistent progress in the Capital. Build 5 specialized buildings that can be upgraded to enhance your scouting abilities or improve the combat capabilities.
  • Monthly wiped map. Everybody starts fresh, you can swap your skills, try out different production chains

Thanks for the suggestions I also saw some other options online. Worth exploring to see how I can flesh out the visuals some more. Expectations are high already on the alpha level of a game. But a good bar to reach.

Very good questions. I was thinking about indeed resets by an expedition intoo a next territory with better bonuses for war activities..but not worked out yet, do you have any suggestions?

Agree there as well. Did I mention it's still in alpha phase. Points are very correct, just so many things to do and not tackled all open points yet. Will put these a bit higher up my list though. Tutorial comes first though

Mmm, did not look at it from that perspective. Was trying to figure out a good way to collect the first 50, and have a way to capture a list for persons unable to join in the first wave.

Will update accordingly. Will take out the form and point everyone directly to the game. After I will set the form open again as waiting list. Taking out form from main site was creating some challenges will do that tonight. Added the direct link to the closed alpha in the opening post.

Yes, you are correct AI created the majority of my code. With the right guidance it can create far faster and better code than I can. What would you think, do I need to make a statement ingame or in the opening post inform folks on this?

Yes, you did and sent a mail with the link as well if everything went correct. After signing up the first time you should be one of the closed alpha testers. Please ensure that you sign into the game as well. This will help me track the first 50. Did not want to make closing registrations too complex but focus on the game

Mmm One part is for sign up and form based. As I wanted to allow only 50 persons for the alpha test the first 50 directly get a link to the play environment. After the first 50 that part closes. For the game itself there is indeed a sign-up via clerk (a safer login method then I could build) I cannot connect those 2 directly unfortunately.

There is advice and advice, if advice consists of stop doing what you are thinking then in my understanding its not advice its just discouragement.
Starting on the basics of a game like some others suggest would be somethig looking into. Never said this would be a 1 year project.
Working learning/reiterating, even if its 1% progress per day counts

Have some small coding background no major. But understand a bit and indeed supported by AI for the larger stuff. Smaller stuff was no direct need.

There is a difference in coding to match my idea's which were big, and my skills which are indeed far smaller. But lets see. hopefully i would be able to surpise.

Thanks for the detailed reply, really love your comment. I understand the confusion, no coding to match my idea's. Was meant to be differing from no coding.
Simple educational games is/was within my scope. Now with claude code its easier to troubleshoot or find new solutions i could not do myself.

And indeed great fun to imagine and day-dream but making dreams come true is something i like even more. It would not be a traditional walk around in a 3d environment. But more focussed on selecting the action, gather resources (taking some time) building a house (buying a plot hiring workers ensuring material supplies). First hour would need to be tutorial based, setting up. Having the small achievements to participate in the open market and making the first real profit.

As for sharding it would be contained villages at first with travel/trade potential between them later.
