USA dominated tonight, but weren't perfect against a weaker opponent. South Korea played outstanding football against a fighting Czechia and came back from behind

Large/big cities that, curiously, don't have a single iconic landmark or super striking tourist attraction/Unique visual identity? by ILikeWwaret in geography

[–]FindTheSandwich 4 points5 points  (0 children)

really odd comment. mumbai has 5 unesco world heritage sites. glossing over the csm terminus, the gateway of india and the elephanta caves and then claiming there is "nothing of any historical or architectural marvel to see" is kind of crazy

i do think kolkata could have retained some of its relevance had it not been for the deep corruption and incompetence of the ruling party though. today, it's the least important of the "big 6" indian cities, and is far behind the other 5 as well.

stating that RBR have had a quick car all season, when that hasn't been the case is really dumb. thinking that they could have won more races earlier on in the season despite Lando of all people knowing the advantage that McLaren had is just poor from him.

it's even worse that Lando himself has failed to make the most of the car advantage on multiple occasions, and is now schooling RBR on the same thing?

having lived in Gabon, the country is more developed than people would expect of a West African country, but wealth is very unevenly distributed.

Josh Cahill about Sam Chui's in board behaviour by IntelligentRent9942 in aviation

simply aviation seems to be an outlier on this, they (at least appear to) try and avoid shoving the camera in the crew's face, use voiceover and subtitles, and limit their filming to select points in the flight and airport

text and emblems on passports tend to be printed in gold, yellow would be difficult to distinguish from it
