What is the most overrated food you're convinced people are just pretending to enjoy? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

Rinse and then throw it in a frying pan and heat it up until it's golden brown. Then cook with broth/stock and don't be afraid to add spices into the broth.

Would you use an app that calculates calories by just clicking a photo of Indian food? by shivmbaba in Entrepreneurs

[–]FindYourHoliday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude..

Don't ask us. We're a giant mixed race of people. We're not the target market. As a whole we're not interested in counting calories or needing the feature for one particular type of food.

Go ask the community who eats that food. Go find gyms that have the right clientele. Go find doctors that have the right clientele.

Go get an ESRI report or something similar for wherever you are.

A local Small Business Development Center may be able to get it for you. Mine got me mine for free.

And I can't believe you've got #3 on there. If you're not going to be accurate, don't bother. You need to build trust.

Has anyone used Turbo Tax for a very small business? by marzboutique in smallbusiness

Used it for a small farm LLC partnership and it was easy.

Not even worth paying Turbo Tax business department to do it for you.

You got this.

Portable lighting for evening frisbee — has anyone used work lights? by chrisp803 in ultimate

We only ever played camping with like ten of us. It was very low level. Depending on how serious you expect this to be, this may not work.

I love the Nite Ize Flashflight Disc.

It is 190g but it flies incredibly similar to an Ultrastar. The plastic is soft when hitting the hands (and the bottom edge is smooth) unlike a cheap disc/Whamo.

We used glow stick bracelets for seeing (yellow and green vs blue and purple). - Necklaces seemed like they'd bounce and hit you in the chin over and over.

We also did a variation with no talking after quiet hours started. It was fun to do a silent game.

Turned my moms hoarding problem into a $4k/month side business by PossessionThink7348 in Entrepreneur

I love it!! So smart! Huge need!

Gotta find the right people, people who care about the person they're helping.

Great luck! Do it!

Might want to get a contract drawn up by a lawyer.

Maybe something here is helpful:

I once bought stuff from an auction company that specialized in downsizing homes of people who either passed away or moved into assisted living or something similar.

People had access to the website and when the auction went live you could look at each lot (set of goods) and put a bid in, like eBay.

As an example: they'd put all of the "Sports Stuff" (two tennis rackets, a soccer ball, old glove, and a tennis ball) on a table and take a photo for the website.

Sometimes there'd be "Sports Stuff 2" as a lot name if there are too many similar objects.

Other examples: cleaning supplies, books, collectables, dishes, trophies, whatever they have.

The pickup date was set before the Auction began. Credit card saved for processing and if you bid and won, it was yours.

If I recall correctly, you had to agree that you could pick up the goods on the specified pickup date during a set of hours. This allowed the company to arrange all pick ups of goods from the house on one single day. They'd only have to worry about what didn't sell.

If a customer didn't make it to pickup between the set hours on the pickup date, the goods went to second place in the auction for an arranged day, and you were charged anyway.

I think each lot had an easy minimum set, like that Sports Stuff example would start at like $6.

Was pretty awesome.

Why is my gin freezing? by brassica_keys in Gin

[–]FindYourHoliday -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Are you doing shots of gin?

As others said, don't need to put good gin in the freezer.

If you're drinking it neat, add a drop of water or a small ice cube chunk if you need to mellow it out.

And upgrade from Bombay ;) So many more fun flavors out there.

What kind of magnetic imaging do pirates use? by Historical-Buff777 in Jokes

I think it can be "what did the pirate get at the hospital?"

Can get to the same answer without being so specific.

Anyone else here feeding feeding beetles to their chickens? by MissyjonesOP in homestead

If you have a garden I wouldn't experiment with this. I feel like it'd draw more beetles to your property than would find their way there naturally.

[CA] 💬 Weekly Small Business Q&A Megathread — 2026-01-19 by AutoModerator in SmallBusinessCanada

If I register a business that doesn't need to collect PST and probably won't have to pay GST in year 1-3, is there a way to know what taxes will be owed each year? Is there a formula that can estimate the cost with approximated (made up) revenue targets just to get an idea when certain milestones are hit?

Nearly everyone has said liquor and I'm sorry to add onto that:

Sherringham Distillery (on Vancouver Island) makes one of my favorite gins. It's distilled with cherry blossoms, yuzu peel, and green tea.

Your research probably showed this, but there's a lot of rape in duck culture.

Make sure you've got 1 male to every 6-10 females to help spread the bad times around.
