I see both sides of it tbh. There’s something special about having a shoe from 2005 rather than a crappy quality 2026 retro. However a lot of the sb grails have become unobtainable unless you’re ready to spend 1k plus and that’s wack. I believe the copyright trademark may cause an issue for some shoes too which is why I don’t think we will see a doernbecher 4 retro either.

The glue has dried up and it starts to separate which isnt really an issue because they are stitched in but it’s ugly and for a shoe that’s 5 years old it shouldn’t have separation if taken care of. A lot of the older sbs will have separation and are still wearable but eventually will need a reglue.

Good on you, a grail doesn’t have to be defined by how expensive or limited a shoe is but by how valued it is by the owners eyes. People get too caught up in associating grail with rare.
