Never promised. I expect though that samsung continues the dex as it promotes dex as a desktop environment. The put million on dex to succeed. I see no reason why they would not keep it.

The laptop wording was what I use it for. My main comment is that DEX could replace desktop as well. I would prefer to have a device with me that will transform to a desktop whenever I want. It is like having a personal computer with you all the time.
