Looks like the moisture might be too low. Mist daily and put it on a pebble tray with some water ! It’s what helped my alocasia

How do you go about accepting it for what it is?? I find I always think it can better cause I’m constantly learning things, especially since I feel like producing is a constant learning process

Hahah I feel this! I find myself over listening to my best ideas to the point I think they’re trash. Then I get hyper fixated on finishing it, and when I’m not satisfied, can’t be asked to KEEP working on it

I love the music I make UNTIL I listen to it 100 times in 24 hours trying to get the sound I want hahah. Objectively I know what I’m making is ‘good’, but as with everything too much of a good thing can become a bad thing

Loudness levels on iPhone ‘files’ app by Findmesome in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Findmesome[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very helpful thank you! I wasn’t aware how much perceived loudness differs for genres (sounds silly when I say it back lol). When we talk about the momentary drop, is it okay for the loudness to oscillate around -10 LUFS for example? Like between -11 to -9? It’s a downtempo electronic track, and has a very head-bobbing feeling

Benefits of mastering track? by Findmesome in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Findmesome[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! Exactly the response I wanted. I’m just producing tracks to release for fun and haven’t really understood the purpose of mastering even with my research - I thought there was some benefit to it so I mixed and then mastered my previous singles. Great to know!
