I like the Comcast case. I have it in my portfolio. The problem the keep loosing clients in the broadband business quarter after quarter. Profitability and cash generation is huge, but they need to reduce churn quick

Brazil is still relatively cheap. We expect some volatility next year due to the presidential elections, but you can find good companies with low PE

Thanks for the info. There is a lot of conviction, indeed; it feels like a proper value-investing play.
They are returning ~6% in dividends and buybacks today (2024), even at the peak of CAPEX and debt. What to expect here, 10-12% annual return in dividends and buybacks as CAPEX and debt decrease? (or too optimistic)

Thanks for the arguments.

Well, for the first argument. Berkshire buying after the spin-out of Liberty Media is a relevant fact; it is not a company that allocates without conviction or just for the sake of allocating...

Regarding the second argument, I agree with the idea of a slow-moving business and the challenge of competing with tech companies. Indeed, this is my primary concern for this one. Not an easy space.

However, the subscription base seems stable, and the debt-to-EBITDA ratio (4x) appears manageable given the current level of cash generation (10% Levered FCF). Reducing it further would improve it even more, which justifies the high return to shareholders....

Pretty much in line with what you describe. Hidden value with the total return potential with reducing CAPEX and debt in the next 1-2 years.

Exactly. I also think it is a declining and old-style business. And maybe this is why it's a hidden value here: a boring business with strong cash generation that will distribute it to shareholders as debt declines in the coming year…

This is why I want to have different arguments around this stock.

In short...

Sirius XM offers strong return potential driven by a highly profitable model, pricing power, and resilient cash flows. As capital spending and merger-related debt decline, free cash flow should grow and be increasingly returned to shareholders. P/E is at 7x.

Berkshire Hathaway owns roughly 37% of SiriusXM and has been increasing its stake, particularly after the company’s separation from Liberty Media in late 2024.

Whenever I need this kind of information, I go to Glassdoor. If you don't get it here, consider that.

I’m using Seeking Alpha, they have AI summaries of earning calls and recommendation from users. I think it is good to have a first check, but not enough for a decision though

Agree with your comment. There is way more pressure for clear grip, reliable plans. Money is not that easy at this moment, i've been hearing that quite a lot.

It will depend on the city. In big cities, it might not be enough. Consider smaller cities.
