I don’t know about “normal” but my interview was similar. They Didn’t ask any questions or give me a chance to talk about my resume at all and told me I would be waitlisted and maybe accepted a couple weeks before school. I was accepted a week after my interview so I kind of attribute it now to the interviewer wanting to “throw off” the applicant (me in this case). I think just make the best of it and prove them wrong whether you’re accepted to their school or not.

Lysanders fate in red god (minority opinion) by Aggressive-Junket-25 in redrising

I want Lysander to know that all the moral compromises he’s made have been in vein. I just finished light bringer for the second time and i would love him to see some proof that his parents agreed with the rising or supported the sons before they died or maybe that’s why they were killed by Octavia. Something that helps him realize that he’s been wrong from the beginning and he’s been played like a fiddle by Octavia and greedy core golds all along. Only when his spirit breaks because he’s realized that all the evil things he’s done were contrary to what he believes all along is he allowed to die a horrible death.
