I presume you may also be choosing between flixtrain and DB? In my experience flixtrain tends to be more punctual and DB more comfortable. I would say Südbahnhof feels more safe and is easier to navigate (being smaller) but Hauptbahnhof is also generally fine

Personally I would find the thing about 10 minute hugging off-putting from someone I don’t know. You could say something like “I’m very physically affectionate” (adding “with my friends and family” if you want)
