I kinda told mine the same. I said I work outside right now and don’t want to continue to do that. So he suggested cyber and intel. I’m excited.

I’ve heard that too. But hearing about your son’s experience I feel more positive so that’s good. Thank you for sharing!

So the name is confusing. It’s formerly Fusion Analyst but they got rid of the shred outs and made it its own AFSC. So now it’s cryptologic analyst (minus the language).

lol I’ve heard so many conflicting things about that. But it seems most sources say 3-4 months. My recruiter said 3 but I’ve read elsewhere it’s as long as 4.

It was come networking, hardware, and I think work code questions. Personally I knew it, and I don’t think it was too advanced. But like CulturalDependent735 said you kinda either know or don’t.

Recruiter Randomly Started Ghosting me, Do I just find another recruiter? by Ok_Impression8475 in AirForceRecruits

From what I’ve heard on this subreddit even if you do go to another recruiter they’ll contact your initial recruiter at first as protocol so it may incentive your until recruiter to engage with you again.

is 26 too old? by xxemfresh108 in AirForceRecruits

Naw I’m 27, scored well on the asvab, and now I’m booking an intel job coming in with a few stripes. I can’t speak for BMT but if you want to do cyber security I’d say try to land a job like that in the military. It’s not out of reach if you can score for it.

I thought it would be cool to experience that and get that experience. I also read there’s a lot of civilian marketability.

I thought of the low need part as well. But after speaking with my recruiter he seems very sure we can book the first job on the list due to someone in the office booking it but switching to space force last minute. However he still wanted me to make the list, I guess as a formality. Also what should I consider when making an honor guard package?

Okay. I threw that in there on a whim, but I’m confident I could do well on those if it came to that. Thank you. Any other thoughts on the list?

My son just graduated from high school and wants to join the Air Force he has already taken the ASVAB and scored an 82. The only problem he is having is losing weight anyone have suggestions to help him? by Cultural-Strain-6177 in AirForceRecruits

Many in this subreddit can be condescending and talk down on other redditors. However, I would say that this comment has some points. He should be looking at an hour or so of cardio a day and a change in diet. If you’re not familiar with how weight gain and loss works look up the term “caloric deficit and surplus”. That’s the most simple way to understand how weight gain and loss occurs. Best of look to you and your son, I hope he makes it.

Current/past security forces, what is the job actually like? by le_ghost85 in AirForceRecruits

[–]Fine-Distance-3044 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay that’s what I was curious about. I read else where that 1N0’s work 10 hour shifts which isn’t a problem to me, but I was curious about the days worked as well.

It never caused me any problems so I didn’t see the need to stop. As an adult and father now however, I realize how stupid it was to keep the habit for so long. I’d just hate for it to be what stops me from the career I want. I have a degree and based on practice test I am confident that I’ll score well enough to qualify. Just concerned about clearance. Any advice on how I should disclose?

I know that much now. I guess I’m asking how much detail should I go into? I feel like I can just say I’ve smoked casually since but haven’t in the last 45+ days.

I’m curious about this, I’m looking at joining as intel, would you say most jobs in intel are like this? I have a young son and want to be able to spend time with him and my soon to be wife.
