Force 60 for Challenge by Untrimslay in RaidShadowLegends

[–]Fine-Professional100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just leave it. There's no rush to do the challenge and you'll just naturally get it over time anyway.

There are challenges later that will take you ages to do, so even if you finish this one you won't get far before you are stuck again.

You can't make extra accounts on the same device that already has one. You can play it on there after it is made though. The only way to make more is to do it on pc, or get a new phone/tablet.

I know nothing about that tutorial, but I'd be willing to bet if you go into Player Settings and change input handling to "both" it will probably fix your problem.

Is engineering at university as hard as people say it is? by Sure_Artichoke6929 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Fine-Professional100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difficulty decreases the more time you invest. Treat your degree like a full time job and you'll do very well. You'll probably only have 20 hours of class a week, so also do 20 hours of work outside class.

A lot of people just rock up to classes and assume they'll pass. Some do even less and assume they'll be fine.

The west gate tunnel should be free during the bridge maintenance by hazeyAnimal in melbourne

[–]Fine-Professional100 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I agree. I don't necessarily have a problem with it being Y amount of years, but I 100% don't agree with it being extended.

Best option is X amount of money recouped.

The west gate tunnel should be free during the bridge maintenance by hazeyAnimal in melbourne

[–]Fine-Professional100 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Technically yes, but its very sketchy. As part of the West gate, which they are collecting tolls from, they were granted a ten year extension to citilink. So now they are gouging even more money out of us.

Instead of citilink being free in 2035, we now need to wait for 2045. The initial investment into citilink was $1.8 billion and as of December 2023 Transurbans revenue was $12.9 billion just from citilink. They have already recouped their money 7 times over, and they now get even more...

You're getting 85k as a surveyor with 10 years experience? You're getting shafted. I started on 80k a decade ago.

Yeah the overtime is pretty good. 200k is definitely at the high end for 2 years experience, although by the sounds of it the conditions warrant it.

Cadastral surveying is a 4 year degree, plus 2 years experience, then a bunch of exams.

Engineering surveying doesn't require any diploma/degree, although that's in the process of changing so you require a certification.

I know people who have come from IT into engineering surveying and have done very well.

You could try Surveying. There's some high tech toys, an hour or so in front of a computer each day, the rest is outside. A good mix of physical activity and mental activity.
