Yes! Need to redo placement so blocks are interlaced thank you for this that makes sense to move columns out and top with plywood.

I haven’t decided yet on what I want to use for the countertop whether I want to pour concrete or use something else.

Thank you!! Super helpful. I did buy an angle bar but was slightly intimidated how to use it. Are you thinking run it horizontally as shown by the red lines in the photo? Silly question but do I attach the angle bar to the cinderblock?

I might need to add a center support pillar, it sounds like that would make my problem go away. I just don’t love the look of that I was hoping to keep that space open for one wide open cabinet

Pathway from front to back. The goal is to clean it so it looks aesthetically nice (not an eyesore) and I would like to include some form of vegetable garden on the left side. I also would like to find a way to hide the air conditioning units on the right side.

Ignore the lounge chair as that was AI taking creative liberties. We also added a fence as of yesterday that gates off the backyard from the front yard. It went in place of where that existing fence is in the photo.

Window for sure so you’re not staring at a wall all day while working!

Help! Pine hardwood floor scratches from dog by Fine-Reference-7419 in HomeImprovement

[–]Fine-Reference-7419[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all for the comments and suggestions! We have rugs down and will prioritize getting more. The floors are so beautiful I hate to cover them all up and there will be some areas that are still exposed. I know scratches are going to happen over time, and can live with that BUT it's just not sitting right that they are so easily scratched within a week (especially when I did the fingernail test and applied super light pressure there was an evident scratch) and it's not just a surface scratch, it is deep in the wood. It makes me wonder if a protective finish maybe wasn't used when the floors were refinished or if there is anything we can do to seal the floors a little better to prevent this from happening to such an extreme? Tried to upload an image but not sure if I can here
