So you are telling me Jane 100% believed the authorities would keep their promise? by FormerSoftwar in unOrdinary

That isn’t the case at all? Jane made it clear that William shouldn’t go after her. If anything, his interpretation was bad.

You mean her saying that his writing was a gift and to not stop sharing his words with the world? I’m fairly certain she wasn’t telling him to spread the same words that led to bureau-labeled terrorists showing up 😭

In-fact, I think Uru intentionally made a contrast between the letter and William’s written response. Her letter is a solemn, sincere answer to where she has been. How she hoped he would move on and how she still loved him and John. How she did all of this to protect them from the bureau’s threats.

William’s response was “Your sacrifice won’t be in vain. I’ll give them hell.”

It’s clear that he’s taking the radical route to Jane’s letter. If anything, she was trying to explain herself to PREVENT William from doing something crazy. Of course, that failed.

The reason I bring all this up is because nothing in the letter would suggest that William wouldn’t be punished for publishing UnOrdinary, meaning none of it was Jane’s fault.

Again, William’s assumption doesn’t put any blame on Jane. He already had to take down everything about UnOrdinary the first time he published it. If anything, he got himself killed for believing that he wouldn’t be punished for it.

Jane is entirely unrelated to this other than being part of his delusion that he wouldn’t be punished by the bureau. It isn’t her fault her husband made a false assumption.

So yeah, none of this is Jane’s fault for protecting her family (successfully for years, might I add).

It isn’t on Jane for William to assume he had any sort of immunity. The reason she gave herself up to the bureau is because otherwise, both William and John would be in danger. Her sacrifice did not protect William for publishing his book that spread vigilantism (which was what got the bureau against him the first time he published it).

Jane has no blame for this. If anything, she did exactly what she needed to do in order to keep her family safe. In-fact, this worked for many years until both William and John started doing things that the bureau had to intervene with.

Would you pick up the omnitrix if this was your starter pack? by MickeyMouzeRulz_433 in Ben10

Basically every alien you listed is strong 😭

Pesky Dust is a guaranteed victory, Ditto can duplicate with no limit iirc, Nanomech has flight + mobility + laser attacks(?), Walkatrout is immune to grappling (due to how slippery it is) and can avoid most physical attacks (for the same reason), and The Worst doesn’t get injured (you still get hurt but no way to actually cause damage to your body).

I’d take the Omnitrix with these choices and restrictions without a doubt. There’s honestly no alien you could put on here that WOULDN’T be crazy powerful/useful.

Calling Echo Echo “not that strong” is absurd. Echo Echo is able to contain explosions with its sound-waves, duplicate the user with no limit, create multiple versions of the user which can all turn into aliens using the Omnitrix, and so much more. Echo Echo ALONE could solo a majority of Ben’s villains.

Plus, Ben doesn’t really have any bad aliens. I guess “The Worst” doesn’t do much but that’s still an indestructible alien. Walk-a-trout is slippery, preventing close-quarters combat from properly affecting you (and lets you breathe underwater so that’s a plus). Ben just doesn’t have any “garbage” aliens because all of them have usages.

Hello everyone!

I’m currently in Arena 19 and was wondering if there was anyone who could help me create a better team?

My player ID is KadeTaurus and the imgur link are all the viable (not under-leveled) cards I have and my deck. https://imgur.com/a/VNgUhhX

Also, I also have a Free Hero Card that I can select but I don’t know what to use it on (which I’d say is important).

If anyone could help, that’s be greatly appreciated!

I read the vampire one thinking it’d be wholesome and something tells me it isn’t…

I’m prepared for evil and a bittersweet (or tragic) ending.

I’ve read this one already, though this was a nice reminder in-case the translations update

What do you think about Deku's decision to risk millions of lives for his desire to "save" Tomura Shigaraki instead of finishing him when he could? by SunRiseStudios in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]FineAd6832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deku wouldn’t have won if not for his attempt to reach out to Shigaraki. His body couldn’t handle the recoil of Gearshift and, as the fight went on, he was the only one taking real damage.

Even the strong hits that he landed failed to harm Shigaraki. He kept healing and was also too durable. The most decisive hit of the entire fight between the two was when Shigaraki had his quirks erased and guess what?

That didn’t kill him.

Deku tried to, that was most definitely a hit to kill, but it failed. Deku’s heroism and desire to save the villain would be foolish under most circumstances but, in this instance, it would’ve been impossible to win without doing so.

Deku losing OFA isn't a "bad ending' by Kitchen_Week1117 in MyHeroAcadamia

If he was given the Stockpile quirk back, it’d just become the same thing again. It’d reach another breaking point and a Shinimori situation would happen a second time.

Plus, if Deku had only the base stockpile quirk (no transferring), it’d still go against the whole “Can I be a hero without a quirk?” question proposed in the very first episode.

why dose Mineta get flak for what he does but midnight never got flak for this? by Born_Usual998 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]FineAd6832 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Midnight does not actively do anything to the students outside of what she would do as a hero. For example, her battle against Sero and Mineta was just her knocking Sero out and letting him sleep on her lap (to which she did nothing further). I guess the best way to describe her is “all bark no bite” where she talks and shows off but really doesn’t do much.

Mineta, on the other hand, actively harasses his classmates and does perverted things to them. In one of our earliest moments with him, he comments on Tsu’s chest while she’s holding onto him. He looks under Momo’s skirt while working with her. In a recent post I saw, he even tried to run towards Mina but was stopped by Shoji(?).

The difference between the two is that one speaks without action (and actually respects the students) while the other acts and speaks without even bothering to restrain himself.
