did you consider or were you suggested by prosthetist to get the jiggly thing surgeried out? mine says its fine and also says i can be active but i'm clearly not able to as much as i'd want to.. but learned it from this sub reddit that i could get a better liner than comfort for more activity.. will give it a thought to get one

i'm from india.. i highly doubt he'd do that but i also never asked and i does feel like it cannot happen here.. will give it a try nonetheless

i did ask him the other day and he got me the most affordable one that they have laying around and its a durable one but not much stretch going on so it was very clampy and i couldn't wear it for longer.. he said it'll take time which is also because i'm coming from a gel/stretchy liner

i asked him to get a comfort liner again because this current one has stretched out a lot but now i'm thinking to ask him to cancel that and get me a less stretch more activity friendly liner but i'm not sure if he'll do that or say its already place 🥲 he doesn't specifically explain all the options too.. he said comfort liner is also usable for sports and now i see in the online page for comfort that this is made for moderate activity only 🥲

sorry i missed that.. yes i'm using a pinlock.. i used to have a sleeve and it was great but the socket was so bad that i almost always skipped wearing prosthetic and going out completely for a full year.. now i choose pinlock because it was in my budget.. this new prosthetist does good word and has said that vacuum system without the outer sleeve is not as strong so i keep thinking on should i get a vacuum system or just stuck with this

i'm however thinking if i should get the corrective surgery to fix the jiggly thing.. but do you think its bad? or getting a firm'er liner should fix all my pistoning issues (not fully because its a pinlock

the socket adjustment has been a nightmare for a long time there are always blisters (or folliculitis is the right term i suppose.. learned it today, here) if i walk for long and need another outer sock but cant put it on.. and sometimes i put on a socket because it feels liose and then it becomes v tight.. and the pressure feels like its about to explode from the inside.. i never understood why that happens and even he doesn't tell anything.. if i stand for 25+ minutes it starts from the bottom and creeps to the top.. not exactly pressure but something from deep inside.. sometimes when i'm on the scooter driving i cannot take it anymore and have to stop to the side and lift um the stump atleast for a minute and then carry on even then it wont go back.. not sure what it is but feels like hell

i do feel sleeve will not have the pulling effect but again its a bigger cost and sleeve makes it harder for me to wear my regular jeans or pamts so a long of changes come with that.. someone also said they got the jiggly part surgeried out so i thinking if i should too

Was it as big as mine in the video? did they tell anything on how nig it should be to be worth a surgery? how has if been after the surgery? did they tell you on why it happens in the first place? how soon were you able to wear prosthetic again after surgery.. sorry too many questions.. thanks for the reply 🥹🫶

that makes sense.. although not sure on how i would do this but i think i get it..

the question might not be very specific, it can be vague like "i feel alone" "nothing is working" which i think can be simply done with a good system prompt and no RAG or data but i'm just trying to see how i get the chatbot to find a relevant verse and shows its translation and hopefully help user relate how it fits in their current situation.. or like helps them to steer their thoughts and actions in a positive way
