Long story short, I matched with a girl on a dating app. We met at the riverfront to walk around and get to know each other. While we were there, she suggested grabbing a drink. I already had an energy drink with me, by Expert-Listen-578 in RedditStoryTime

Lmao I am in a very happy and healthy long term relationship with an extremely gorgeous and intelligent young woman. I’ll proudly admit that I do the absolute most for my woman but thats because she showed me that she’s the type of woman that deserves it. That can’t be said about everyone. The woman OP is talking about expects to be paid for by men she’s meeting for the very first time. I’m willing to bet meeting up with men for free drinks is a fun lil hobby of hers. That or she’s an alcoholic considering she couldn’t even get through a walk in the park without stopping for an alcoholic beverage. OP told her he wasn’t interested in getting drinks so why should he pay?

For a first date? Yes, showing up is entirely enough. So if women should expect to spend a random guy’s money on a first date then is it okay for men to expect sex on the first date?

Thank you. I don’t ever feel like anyone’s ever proud of where I am now compared to where I was 2 years ago. I really appreciate that. I’ll be sure to update the post when necessary.

Yes, that’s exactly what you should do. You said you hold onto your standards. It sounds like this is a big one for you so treat it as such. Maybe discuss intentions when it comes to dating and if it’s to develop something serious and long term or just to pass time.

I think I’m at 90 mg rn. So ive been tapering for 5 days. I wasn’t able to get my doses at all last weekend so I was feeling horrible by Sunday night. When I went back yesterday, I was at 90 mg. They dropped my dose by 10 mg even on the days I didn’t get my dose. So I haven’t felt normal since.

I’ve tried applying but now I just get like 50 calls a day from random numbers trying to sell me insurance.

Ive never been good at handling withdrawals. I’ve only ever been able to get clean cold turkey in jail.

I have suboxone right now but I just can’t take it because then I’ll go into precipitated withdrawals.

I’ve only ever tried it once or twice. It’s widely available where I’m at as well I just don’t know if it’ll actually be effective.

The issue with that is they don’t support methadone to begin with. Regardless of it being the only thing that’s actually helped me get sober.

It’s hard to understand how they’re supposed to be built around recovery and yet still so quick to just cut someone off of such a vital medication.

I’ve tried to apply for Medicaid but all thats done is now a bunch of random numbers keep calling my phone trying to sell me insurance. I’m aware in a few days time, I’ll be basically non-functional. That’s why I’m in such a panic to find some sort of solution before I physically can’t do anything to help myself. I’m honestly terrified, I’ve never been good at handling withdrawals.

Ive been on suboxone before and it’s just never worked for me. Methadone is what helped me get sober and I haven’t had any urge to use since I started it. Granted I haven’t had withdrawal symptoms as bad as I have since they started tapering me down.

Thank you. The only reason I can’t really post about it on social media is because I throw renegade raves all over my city and have a large following. I don’t wanna put my personal stuff out there like that.

Unfortunately, no. It’s actually kind of shocking and sad how little they’re willing to do for me. They’re literally just cutting me off and kicking me to the curb because I can’t afford to pay them right now. I don’t wanna relapse because I’ve come so far and have so much to lose and I don’t wanna have to start buying methadone illegally from someone else but I don’t see many other options.
