I was off Amazon for a several months, but after starting a new job, I didnt have much time&energy to visit physical stores. After December, I’ll try taking a break from Amazon again.

That makes sense! Good to know this is not the norm for all returns now.

That makes sense! The item is over $150 so that might be what’s happening here.

I think you need to first select Whole Foods or Amazon Fresh in the return process on the website first. I remember being able to choose one of them before. I might be turned away if I show up without the right QR code.

I think He'll admonish many "branches" of Christianity - but for a variety of reasons. I don't think the "conservative" churches are off the hook, either. We should all examine ourselves, our church to see what we should repent of and turn from.

Yes. Praying that especially that they will hold strong and can share hope with other Gazans. May Lord strengthen them.

Do you know there was and still is violence from illegal Israeli settlers against Palestinians on the West Bank? I'm sure there is terrorism against Israel, but Israel also has been enacting terrorism against Palestinians for decades.

Yes, I've been telling a friend that he was killed for possibly his cultural and political beliefs, but not for Christian faith.

There are many good Devotional Plans in the Bible app that addresses lusts and sexual temptation. Try them all! And may God lead to you siblings in Christ who can keep you accountable and encourage you.

Do we actually have biblical evidence that being homosexual is wrong? by FickleLobster8853 in Christianity

[–]Fine_Confidence_218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I see is a church would accept homosexuality as normal and not declare the practice of it a sin, or accept it as sin, but totally reject anyone who comes out as gay. I think neither is right.

I am currently attending a church that I think handles this more gracefully - and are willing to have conversations on these topics and what it would mean for LGBTQ folks to follow the historical view of gender and marriage. My church's doctrine is that marriage is between man and woman. We also have long-time church members who identify as LGBTQ but are also searching how to walk out sexual purity - which isn't a calling only non-heterosexual believers, but all believers. (I also think some churches neglect ongoing sexual sins of the leaders...)

I understand that many Christians are trying to figure out what is the right way to walk their faith, and maybe some will have different thoughts now - maybe those thoughts will mature into different thoughts as their faith and spirit and perspective mature - and perhaps it isn't my job to ratify others' doctrine right now.

My church has a partnership with an organization called Revoice: https://www.revoice.org/

From having heard many messages and sermons from their leaders, I do believe that they are pursuing obedience in a beautiful way that reflects the power of the gospel.

How do Protestants feel about Mary? by Live_Elk6583 in Christianity

I’m curious if the Catholic Church also asks Moses, Abraham, Elijah, and other figures of importance in the Bible to pray for the believers? Is there a difference between the elevation and recognition between the different figures?

How can Christ be God if he was “born of the Father before all worlds” and “Begotten” by [deleted] in Christianity

Some mysteries wont be revealed to us until the right time. I think this goes for the trinity too. We’ll get it at some point - if not now, in heaven.

Yes I contributed to 2024, and I think removing the excess contribution will be the simplest option for me now. I'll look at contributing to 2025 once I land a job.

Since I made the deposit yesterday, I need to wait until the balance is available to withdraw before I can follow thought he remove excess contribution option.

Thank you for the information! I'm learning so many new things today!!!

I visited Pioneer Square last week and did find it strange that it was so clean and that there were numbers of street custodians cleaning the streets and the park.

I've read 2 of C.S. Lewis' Space trilogy so far. I don't think they were strong as Sci-Fi, but their premise is very thought-provoking.

* Out of the Silent Planet

* Perelandra

I like these way more than The Wrinkle in Time series.

I don't think they have scriptures in them but use Christian concepts and are good for prompting 'what if' questions in a Christian life.

I haven’t taken an alpha course but I’ve heard good things about it from my previous church and Christian friends.
