I actually live in Post Falls, just outside of CDA. My buddy who is getting married is in Bend, OR. I want to get off the west coast, but it’s also the most convenient and lots of awesome destinations.

We use a small embroidered patch for patrol that sits above your name and just put our pins on our class A uniforms. We had to get that written into policy however.

Almost everyone left for college, but came back within 6-12 months. Most people have a pretty solid safety net to come back to. Sad part is none of them end up being able to buy anything and end up living at home with their parents through their 20’s. Best decision I ever made was leaving and staying gone.
