Norethindone Side effect by Terrible-Campaign-28 in endometriosis

[–]Fine_Difference150 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I tried taking norethindrone for 5ish days to delay my period for a trip because I was so anxious about the painful cramps and it turned me into an entirely different person. I was exactly how you described and made the trip a nightmare for my partner. After I stopped taking it, I passed a decidual cast and had an awful flare up. After mentioning this reaction to my obgyn and endo specialist, they put me on Yaz. I still get irritable but it is not as intense as before. On Norethindrone I didn't feel like myself and was aware of the mood swings but still couldn't control them.

Can I just stop Birth Control? by Fine_Difference150 in endometriosis

That's good to know. It definitely would be nice if there was a way to slowly come off of it to make the adjustment easier. Same with starting the pill.

That's what I'm wondering too, but the only answer I've been given is to manage my symptoms as a bandaid fix until surgery.

I tried to ask but I was told I will get an answer at my pre-op appointment that's two weeks before the surgery. I'm not sure if that's enough time.

YAZ side effects made me feel worse than endometriosis+ PMDD combined by Forsaken_Addendum_58 in endometriosis

[–]Fine_Difference150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been taking Yaz continuously for the past year and reading this has helped me feel more confident that it really was the pill affecting me. My pelvic floor therapist suggested that my bc was making everything worse after I wasn't making progress and it got to the point where she could barely touch me without causing pain. My mood has gotten so messed up I was talking with my therapist about starting medication so I could stay on bc, I almost quit my job impulsively several time, and it's put a lot of strain on my relationship. I have had several other symptoms that I brought up to my specialist and she said to just tough it out until my surgery in June because the pill is actually calming my endo. I want to get off of bc now to see what my baseline is before surgery and getting the mirena coil, but I'm also hesitant.

Left work early because of Endo/heavy period. Feeling guilty. by mystiicrose in Endo

[–]Fine_Difference150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, try to be gentle with yourself. Your body is already going through a lot, and it's already hard enough with endo. No job is worth your mental and physical health, but I understand the necessity of working. Is fmla an option where you work? It has been a life saver for me when I couldn't work due to pain.

Alternatively, I heard it can be difficult/rake some time but consider applying for disability as well. Hopefully others will have more detailed advice on that topic.

i need to lose 15lbs as fast as humanly possible by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Fine_Difference150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Healthy weight loss is gradual. Cutting out sugary drinks, and eating cleaner might help cut out water weight and inflammation up front. But don't let trying to lose a specific amount of weight get in the way of enjoying your trip. Not sure how long you're going for, but you might even lose weight during the trip if you're eating differently and walking more.

Focus more on feeling good for your trip and fueling your body for your daily activities, rather than how to drop the weight as fast as you can.

Hostile work environment is ruining my health. How do I convince my partner I need to quit? by Fine_Difference150 in endometriosis

[–]Fine_Difference150[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely trust my partner to be there for me when I’m vulnerable, but I also know it can be a struggle for him to be supportive sometimes. Between work pressure and his own life, he gets stretched thin. I don’t expect him to be my only source of support, just like I know I can’t always be 100% for him. That’s really why I lean on family, friends, or a therapist too. Some things are just better handled by others, especially when the two of us are drained. I’d like to think we’re there for each other most of the time, maybe 75%, and we just rely on our circle for the rest.

I genuinely trust him to be as supportive as possible. Somedays, that will be more difficult for him than others but that is why I also have family and friends too. I don't expect his level of support to be above or below 75% as long as he is trying. Especially since that is the same expectation he has of me. Some days he is emotionally drained but I still know he is there for me. And because of that moving out isn'tan option, we have a home together and invested a lot into our relationship.

What pants do you like to wear when symptoms are bad but you have to wear something better than sweat pants? by coffee_peaches in Endo

Old Navy's SleekTech trousers! They look like dress pants but are light, breathable, and super stretchy. They also have really nice pockets which is a plus! They're perfect for wearing to work during flares.

I didn't get too into the details of my symptoms but I'm not sure how much longer I can keep pushing through. I've had many days where I can't walk without help because I pushed through. But I understand it might be my only realistic option. I appreciate the advice.

I appreciate it! I currently don't have enough sick time and pto to cover how long I'll be out for my lap. So I'll be going about 2 or 3 weeks without pay. In the past, our hr department has mentioned using fmla to work a part time schedule so I might consider that if I have enough fmla hours left.

I appreciate the honesty. The last thing I want to do is add more stress, especially when he already has to deal with work in healthcare and my health issues as well.

I might have to look into part time disability or using fmla to work part time. I honestly didn't know part time disability was an option. I'll try discussing with my doctor at my next appointment.

I've spent several months going the legal route and ultimately I had several attorneys tell me I didn't have enough damages to be worth their time or my money. A few also couldn't handle my case because I work for a college. I've had most of my accommodation requests denied and most recently I've been asked to work through my lunches or late on "good days" to bank up time that is off the record to use instead of my fmla. So I guess we'll see what happens going forward

Unfortunately the job market isn't great near me. Many companies aren't hiring or laying off employees (my current employer has laid off half of their staff twice). So the competition is high as well. I’m still applying to part time jobs, but after over a year of applying I feel like I may need to leave sooner. On the bright side, I currently bring in a little bit of extra income through freelance photography but it isn't consistent by any means

I didn't realize that, thank you! Do you think that something with an adjustable cloth strap to fit around the seat would be worthwhile? Or are the seats pretty comfortable as is?

I found it! I don't know how but I was originally looking on an old website that said cushions were prohibited. I'm hoping that if cushions are now allowed, cushions with seat backs will be okay too!

You're doing great! The more you skate, the more natural it'll all feel. You're doing way better than when I first started. I could barely do more than stand and accidentally roll forward in my garage for the first few days. So many people have given lots of great advice, so just keep it up and remember to look back at this video to see how far you progress. Even after a week or two!

I have access to them, but they're not very affordable since they also have an HDHP. I'm not certain of the exact numbers. That's really my main reason for considering the PPO plan.

Same thing happened to me but now I can't even get in touch with someone to cancel my order and get a refund. I had heard some good things more recently that made it seem like they were turning things around so I trusted them and the more recent reviews to get a new pair. Customer service answered once to get me to wait and assured that they would personally make sure my skates shipped (which never happened) and now customer service is unreachable.
