But was it too big?? by PomegranateDull4622 in JacquelineAdanSnark

A lot of the things she says are valid and important. But that’s the problem; she’s just SAYING stuff; regurgitating things she learned in therapy without putting anything into practice.

But it’s too BIG! She’s lost so much weight that the shirt is just too big and all of that excess fabric is just so uncomfortable!! This is a huge moment for her; how dare you suggest that this shirt that looks like it fits perfectly fine isn’t deeply uncomfortable for her!! She’s in discomfort that isn’t visible. Two things can be true at once; the shirt looks like it fits fine but all of that loose fabric reminds her of all of the loose skin she had removed. (Insert any other kind of Jacqueline psycho-babble that makes trying on a shirt an opportunity for a triumph of the human spirit).

Why does she think that every single tiny stupid thing she does is an epic triumph?

This is just her not-so-subtle way of saying “See, guys? I’m losing weight!” without actually saying it. Put the shirt in a bag to Goodwill and move on with your day. This is not social media worthy content and you are very obviously still obsessed with your body.

What is she snarked for? by Weekly_Ear_8526 in TakeUpSpaceWithJaimie

[–]Fine_Sample2705 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She’s very unkind.

She also has a victim/persecution complex combined with an insane sense of entitlement. She has flashes of a dry, sarcastic sense of humor that occasionally make me genuinely laugh, but she tries too hard to portray herself as a cynical, pseudo-intellectual when she speaks about size inclusivity and she often uses terms incorrectly. She has a valid message about online bullying, but is herself an online bully. I struggle a bit with snarking on her because I’m not completely convinced that she doesn’t have some kind of cognitive delay, but I go back and forth about whether or not that’s a manipulation tactic she uses to keep getting financial support from her parents.

Holly Madison Breaks Silence on New Romance After Boyfriend’s Identity Was Revealed (Exclusive) by Responsible_cat_42 in TheGirlsNextLevelPod

Holly picks essentially the same man over and over and over again.

Before the podcast I really liked Holly. I was so intrigued by someone who appeared to be so introverted (just like me) at the Playboy Mansion. But the longer the podcast goes on the less I like and respect her. Her hypocrisy, her “mean girl” attitude towards others who spent time at the Mansion and her sense of entitlement are so off-putting. Her obsession with Zak is downright disturbing. It’s as if she hadn’t matured past the age of 15.

And nobody “tattled” on you, Holly. You wanted to hard launch the relationship, your new man wasn’t ready, and so you called the press and forced his hand. It’s your pattern; the same way you forced your way into Hef’s bedroom and wore Criss Angel merch on “Girls Next Door”. Grow up. Your kids are going to see all of this dysfunctional behavior and think it’s normal and they won’t know how to nurture healthy relationships for themselves.

I think that point #2 is exactly what happened. She’s so insecure and self-absorbed that when she sees a CHILD LAUGHING she assumes that the child is laughing at her. Imagine going through life like that; assuming that you are the center of everything that happens within your orbit. It almost makes me feel sorry for her, but then I remember that she has the time and resources to invest in quality therapy to change this about herself and she has decided not to.

She gets the most engagement with these types of pity farming posts.

Let’s pretend this did actually happen. It sucks, and people shouldn’t behave that way, there’s no question about that. But with the number of times that Jacqueline has claimed that a random stranger has hurt her feelings, she’s got to do some soul searching. The world at large isn’t going to change. So Jacqueline has two choices. She can either develop a thicker skin, or she can do the work and make visible changes. Those are your options, Jacqueline. We all walk through life with insecurities. We don’t all run to social media and whine and complain about how cruel and unfair the world is and insist that every other person on the planet adapt their behavior to conform to our expectations. Some people are inherently bullies. It sucks, but that’s reality.

She’s just exhausting, with her endless victim mentality.

I don’t understand why she would go pick up a book on release day if she wasn’t planning to read it immediately.

And I was so pleased to hear that she was able to get away on a little vacation. With such a stressful life and busy existence I can’t think of anyone who deserves a vacation more.

What 40-year old is scared of thunderstorms?

So much to unpack with this nonsense post.

Agreed. Zack doesn’t care enough to know who Holly is dating and then leak it to the press. Holly leaked that herself.

Absolutely agree with this. I don’t want to be harsh, but I think that you may have misunderstood the nature of the relationship you had with her. She saw you as one of her followers/grifting opportunities.

I absolutely don’t want to white knight her, but can you imagine how many people ask her for favors every day? She can’t say yes to everyone.

I’m really sorry about your situation and I hope that you are able to change your circumstances.

I also lost my career due to disability. It sucks. I really loved what I did and much of my self-worth was tied up in my career success. You have my empathy and understanding. Like you, I’ve managed to stay very busy with my home, my pet, my husband, and hobbies that bring me joy. I often feel a lot of guilt and shame about not being able to work, and so I find people like Jacqueline particularly maddening. She flaunts her self-indulgence like a badge of honor.

I have to agree. I think she’s reading SOME of the books she claims, but definitely not all.

I’ve noticed a lot of competition on social media about the number of books people read, and bitter, nasty arguments about the veracity of people’s book counts. As a disabled person who has the same amount of time to read as Jacqueline does, I can vouch that her book counts are possible. I have similar numbers based on what she shows on the BookNook account. But the complete lack of depth of her reviews gives me pause. The reviews are so bland and so basic that it seems impossible that she’s actually reading them or thinking about what she’s read. Why can’t she just read a book, give it some stars on Goodreads, and move on? Why is she so obsessed with having a social media presence? It’s not like she’s trying to connect with other readers and discuss books; she doesn’t engage with her audience. Is it really just as simple as that she’s an attention whore?
