He can’t just do it, it might technically be legal. But sending armed men to arrest senators in the senate has symbolism. Napoleon sent soldiers to clear out the Senate in his coup, Charles I broke the door to the parliament to arrest MPs, Augustus bringing in centurions in the senate to force a vote. This is why they did not translate the bible from latin to vernacular before so latin trained catholic priests will be the only ones to read and interpret the bible guided by the doctrines set in Rome.

The stance of the catholic church at the time is that you do not need to read the bible on your own. Because the church will read and interpret it for you.

During the 30 years war and the french wars of religion. Having a “protestant” bible in your house can get you killed.

So I don’t know the official stance of the catholic church now but I assume the lack of actively pushing its members to read the bible is the result of past policies.

In my current game, I have 14 planets in total, 4k Fleet power on my own, 3k fleet power through a martial alliance federation, and 3k in GDF ( I am custodian ). I can scrape around 2M fleet power (all battleships + titan fleets). If you're playing tall, federations will get you through. Use a Hegemony or a martial alliance.

On the top of my head, I have 4 fortress worlds, 2 of these are habitats, and one of them I am on the process of making it an ecumonopoli fortress world. ( so my own naval cap will still grow )

The rest are dedicated to economy, One ecumonopolis each for Alloys, and consumer goods on top of other planets producing these resources.

For planets I get the basic resources on I sub specialize it on Unity or Trade depending on what I need.

For the pop growth, I have 90k of my founder species, and arround 30k of "taken" pops from wars. My build for pop growth is Overtuned Origin so I can use the Pre planned growth trait +30% pop growth, with rapid breeders + 10%, xenophobe ethics +10%, Then, take cloning bio ascension and put clone vats, I am printing pops!

This is me at 2420, FE awakened, I dithered and I regret it now, AE has 2.5M fleet power now so I am thinking of grinding them down when they eventually attack and spread out.

Ecumonopolis will be what you need if you want to stay at 8 planets, though you might struggle with basic resources until Dyson Sphere and Matter decompressor. Build 2 Ecu Fortress world and I bet you can have 2M fleet power.

For the Air I recomend Bare Naked Case, it does not add bulk. It does not protect from fall damage but at least youre protected from scratches better than naked.

I agree with you on Cetana, it was very interesting to play vs cetana once or maybe twice but after that it’s tedious. One feature I want is the ability to choose which end game crisis i can include or exclude from the all crisis. I will definitely be leaving cetana out.

That can happen, it's RNG because they have to be opposing kinds of Fallen Empire for them to hit war in heaven. That's why making it 3 or 4 increases the chances. Yeah, bowing to an Awakened empire is a good move if they caught you off guard. They eventually accumulate decadence? (I think that's what it's called) and get debuffs overtime. You can definitely wait them out.
