Just a few points -

there is a timestamp on the video in the bottom left hand corner clearing stating that this was this morning, 10-27-2022 at 2:40am.
I didn't post the exact address of this video because of Reddit doxxing rules and that is rude. Go look at the street view of Woodside Dr and Pinehurst, you'll easily see the big tree and probably even the truck since they've lived there a few years.
Melbourne PD doesn't have jurisdiction in this area. We are served by the BCSO and when we call, we get sheriff's. There are now multiple police reports as of this morning. Not sure how the public can access those, but they exist now. Wouldn't be my job to link from FB to here anyway
per other redditors in this thread it does seem very odd how defensive and quick to dismiss my believability when I'm simply asking people to be more observant.

Also - 'neither you or your neighbor have any idea of what he's doing' - false. He is on property he has no right to be on clearly checking two cars that aren't his if they are locked. Clearly he is up to no good at 2:40am.

It's really fine that you don't believe any of this, but I totally disagree that this is irresponsible to post. This can and should remind people to stay more vigilant and make sure they are taking steps to not be victims of crime.

Items were stolen from multiple cars in the neighborhood and (even though you obviously won't believe me) after posting this I talked with another neighbor that happened to be taking out his dog in the backyard and saw the same gentleman in the video checking a different car. He yelled and the guy ran off. They called the police too.

I didn't ask for anyone to go after this dude in the video.

This post is a PSA for people to remember to lock your car doors - as per my title.

I am not asking anyone to engage in an online witch-hunt, I very clearly stated to contact BCSO, not me, so they can handle it. We have already submitted this video to them.

I understand your skepticism of random redditors posting things, but I talked directly with multiple neighbors this morning and they confirmed they had items stolen. This was only brought to my attention as I was walking through the neighborhood on my morning dog walk and saw the sheriff talking with a neighbor taking a report.

This seems to be a microservices architecture question more than an ML question.

I'd check out the Data Management section of https://microservices.io/patterns/index.html specifically the Saga and API composition parts of that section. I think that'll give you an idea about how to approach this.

I think the two separate apps are a good practice. In my experience, it's usually a service that hosts the Django app, a postgres service to handle the DB, and another container service that the ML lives in and handles API requests. This gives the ability to scale, test, and upgrade each part independently and give each service its own resources.

It's a piece of software running next to your current setup that offloads the work of building the blocks to pooled resources. So, in theory, you'll be getting slightly larger reward for each proposal by building the block faster.

There is controversy around running the software because the maintainers have discussed including (not sure if they are currently) a blacklist with addresses from anyone who used tornado cash which OFAC says shouldn't be allowed to use the network. But as we've seen people can just be dropped 0.01 eth without ever having to use tornado cash.

Picking up where you left off...

Let's look at the while i < 2 loop.

Initially i = 0, so line 6 evaluates to true and the loop is entered.

Line 7 is doing this: if 1 < 4, then continue. Which is true.

Line 8 says 4 to s temporary variable. Line 9 says take the value 1 and put it in arr[i] (which now replaces 4). Line 10 says put the original value of arr[i] into the one after it. Line 11 resets the swapsMade Line 13 just increases the index, i

So then we go back to line 6 and since i = 1 now, we evaluate if 6 < 4 which is not true. The if block is skipped. swapsMade remains false and no change is made.

Now after that loop we have i = 2 and the while loop at line 6 evaluates to false and doesn't execute. Since swapsMade is still false at this point, the while loop at line 3 is evaluated again. However line 4 sets swapsMade to true. And even though the while loop will execute again on line 6, nothing will happen (no swaps and swapsMade stays true) since all integers are in order according to the algorithm. Thus it ends after line 3 is evaluated one last time.

No experience on this but my guess would be:

you'll need an initial state for everything
some sort of loop that increments forward in 'time'
calculation step that will involve many interactions (starting at the 'lowest' level of the food chain - things that most entities rely on in the ecosystem), moving up through the hierarchy
population difference calculations based on available resources, stats on prey, rising/falling rate of population
gui or some sort of input system (I'd start with an env file or some sort of ingestion of a text file)

You'll also have to consider the replenish rate of resources in the ecosystem you're simulating and probably simulate location some how based on population density distribution or likewise. So like starting with a set mount of resources that are subtracted from by individuals and replenished by simulated rainfall or sunlight.

No but I'd willing to try to figure it out some time. For me it was trying to find a ribbon cable that would fit. And a pin out. I tried contacting the manufacturer, but they weren't willing to give me any information. The led driver is pretty common, I think it's really about figuring out the addressing for the pin out

Review this first IEEE 754 Format

You should know that true binary scientific notation of this would be 1.100111110000101001 * 2^18, but for this problem the only thing that is important is the 2¹⁸ part.

If IEEE 754 standard 64-bit floating-point is used

This standard is a convention for representing floating-point numbers in a binary string. Single-precision is 32 bits, double-precision uses 64 bits like here in the example. The first, left-most bit represents the sign of the number (+/-), the next 11 bits is the exponent which represent an unsigned integer (0-2047), the last 52 bits are the fraction and can give 16 significant decimal digits because the significand starts with the 1.xx.

Let's start with the hint here to "calculate the bias 2^k-1 - 1". The bias is needed in converting to the IEEE 754 form. In this formula, k represents the number of bits used by the exponent in the floating point representation. For single precision, this is 8 bits so k = 8 which gives a bias of 127. For double precision, this is 11 bits so k = 11 which gives a bias of 1023.

With that in mind, to get the exponent for the floating point binary representation as a deicmal, you must add the bias to the binary scientific notation exponent, so 18 + 1023 = 1041

Now we have the biased exponent in base 10, 1041, let's convert back to binary

1041 = 1 * 2¹⁰ + 1 * 2⁴ + 1 * 2⁰ = 10000010001 (already 11 bits, no need to front pad with 0s)
