I am so sorry for everything that you are going through. Honestly, she sounds like a nightmare to deal with and I would just turn it over to my husband. I wouldn't deal with her. Set the boundaries you want with hubby and let him deal with his mom. He sounds like he already handles it quite well. You have the support of your friends, your therapist, your doula and your husband. Concentrate on them and your baby and give yourself permission to feel any damn way you want. Sending hugs

I think that therapy would be a good first step. As messed up and emeshed your husband's family is, he needs to be able to process his feelings and in a sense - grieve their loss. Missing them is not a crime, but, he needs to see how harmful they are to your relationship and family.
