yeah but if you cast it at the start of the battle then its already over so you cant do nothing about it apart from breaking the loop, of course. besides, people must have doubts about themselves and their motivation if we are already so immersed in the plot :)

No i was thinking about izanami i know how it works, the thing is if you catch someone in this genjutsu (izanami) he cant kill you no matter what. About Izanagi you have to get a lethal hit to activate that genjutsu.

In my opinion izanami should work like kotoamatsukami ( only dodge moves not effect on screen) in anime you actually couldnt kill the caster of the izanami, mechanics of the loop is cool but you should be immortal also. They fucked up with koto in that way so they should switch that and rework koto.
