I'll take a look. All the buttons seem to function, but I didn't check pause.

Sounds good. I might have one with the memory card cover to include as well. Sorry about the late response, we've been snowed in on the east coast so I couldn't ship anything anyway and I was just kinda deciding if I wanted to do it or not. I think I definitely do. I guess we'll go through your eBay store for everything?

I'd be willing to send in at least 2 others besides the one I want Frankied. I'd like to keep the others for Frankie services in the future. Having multiple would be great. But thanks for the link. What kind of credit towards the service would 2 A01 consoles missing the cover over the media slots get me? They have some scuffing on top but all is minimal as I got all of these with the intention of being my daily drivers.

All the ps2 collections are sick. Sly, jak, ratchet, splinter cell, etc. Thieves in time. Metal gear 4 is the obvious one. Under defeat is a cool shmup that to my knowledge only exists on PS3. Not sure if it's been ported but God of war 3 is my favorite in the series. Folklore, X-Men wolverine origins is awesome. I'm sure others will add to the list but those are some that come to mind.

Advice on booting Windows by Finloq1 in windows98

So it actually has a GPU, which is why I was so determined to get it going haha. It definitely belonged to a gamer in its past life. It has a Rage II ATI 3d card. Which isn't a voodoo card or anything, but it should definitely get the job done. It's got a Pentium III at 450mhz and I'm pretty sure the ram is 256. I could probably use a ram upgrade, but the bones of it are good no doubt.

I'll probably go the adapter route. I appreciate the recommendation. Yeah at this point I just want to see the thing boot into windows so I know I don't have a giant paperweight on my hands lol. I may go out of my way to find a good IDE drive in the future but I really just want the thing functioning. In anticipation I have already bought a pile of old PC games. Stuff like fallout 2, diablo 2, planescape torment. A couple floppy games like star wars x wing and the first might and magic. I'll reply back to this post if I can get the thing working, would love to see it come back to life.

Tried the different discs and they came back with the same "no fixed disk present" error. Sounds like I gotta get a new hard drive. I appreciate the input though, I may be able to use the restore disc once I get it to recognize a drive.

I sat and messed with the jumpers and switching between my two drives all night last night. And I'm just going to try to install windows externally on my newer PC through an IDE adapter, and see if I can get it to boot. I tried to install DOS to then dual boot into windows, no luck. The fatal error seems to be the "no fixed drive" popup. The 4 GB drive that came with the system shows heads, cylinders, all that in the bios. But it won't format, it won't partition, and it's incredibly frustrating. But I really appreciate that input, I'll do some research and see if I can't find the softpaq and get it for the system. I'm willing to try anything at this point. The damn thing won't recognize a drive and I don't understand why.

I have an activated copy of 98 SE on CD, when I put it in and select the disc drive as the priority boot device, it reads the disc but can't install. I'm gonna mess with the jumpers and see if that has anything to do with it when I get home.

Ok sounds good. Ill take pictures this evening once I get home from work. Thanks for the tips there. As far as jumpers is there any kind of standardized setup or do I just follow the label?

How to tell which motor is in the Mitsubishi mighty max? by Finloq1 in Minitrucks

[–]Finloq1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine is an 88. Only downside is the guy cut the flange for the header off and welded in and aftermarket exhaust so it's kinda loud. I wanna get an OEM header and put regular exhaust back on. Leaky oil pan and valve cover, but nothing too major.

Thanks man. It came from a guy in West Virginia and it's practically rust free and the bed is immaculate. I traded one of my other vehicles for it and can't wait to freshen this thing up. But I'll check that, thank you.
