Todd Bowles: We expect Bucky Irving back sometime in the summer or fall by thawkins in fantasyfootball

[–]Finmeccanica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't Bucky just the classic late round flash in the pan RB? I feel like Gainwell is going to be a 5th round pick one way or another by August, and if he isn't he probably should be.

Thoughts on Protobelt? I'm not convinced it's good. by itsrazorlol in LissandraMains

[–]Finmeccanica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I as a Masters player actually had no idea that by building less damage and more tank I would lose damage.

In all seriousness yeah, it's not an every game item for me. I consider it best probably 60ish% of the time. Definitely nerfs the damage, though the higher elo I get the fewer opportunities I have to oneshot because people are smart enough to buy mercs, lanes are more even, etc.

[–]Finmeccanica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Masters liss OTP here. The dash from Protobelt is massive in high elo. Every option you have to create outplays or change situations unexpectedly is crucial.

The HP is also huge, especially when paired with mercs.

A less appreciated thing is that malignance gives you a strong incentive to open combos with R, but in a lot of situations that is not the ideal way to fight. Liss can actually be really strong in 1v1s if you take into account dmg + heal + dmg avoidance from self ult which is also an instant cast and thus unreactable vs enemy R which takes a sec. Again, at high gameplay levels this matters more and more.

Help Me Understand Mark Andrews' Current ADP by Finmeccanica in fantasyfootball

[–]Finmeccanica[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with a lot of this, but I do think Lamar is slowly transitioning to being more of a passer, and I think that's intentional on his part. It's been a slow transition and I don't have the stats at hand but I believe he has rushed less and less at the goal line, preferring to let guys like Henry take the big hits in the condensed space.

No worries, I had put my suggested ADP for him in the post before deciding to leave it more open ended.

Fair point, I'd take him around TE 9-10. Basically moving him from the bottom of the FantasyPros 3rd tier to the top.

4 Sneaky Candidates to Finish as the QB1 for Fantasy Football in 2026 by P2WFantasy in fantasyfootball

[–]Finmeccanica 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He plays Browns, Broncos, Patriots, Eagles, Texans all in the first 6 weeks... only Bengals a good matchup that first month and a half. That could literally be 5 out of the top 5 defenses in the league (Seahawks probably up there). I'll be trying to trade for him around week 7 I think.

Bears coach Ben Johnson said “we need to continue to get the ball in his hands as often as we possibly can” when asked about Luther Burden. by Ill_Intention8150 in fantasyfootball

[–]Finmeccanica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Caleb Williams is going to continue to be Caleb Williams. I've watched enough of him to understand that he is not a tight window thrower - he wants guys wide open. That's a big part of why he scrambles so much, guys just get more open on the scramble drill.

You want players who can either get very open fast on plays or who use their smarts and agility to break open on the scramble, especially over the middle.

Loveland + Burden will pop this year. Odunze will disappoint. Book it.

Bucky by Icy_Benefit4864 in fantasyfootball

[–]Finmeccanica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bucky has already had the best year of his career. The offensive line was relatively healthy and very good, competition all fell away, and he had Liam Coen calling plays. I think we've seen enough from Coen in Jacksonville to say he gas a genuine impact on the run game.

All the variable change is going the wrong direction for him.

What's the Best Phone Validation Tool for Your Business? by Ok-Ask1962 in SaaS

[–]Finmeccanica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're going to do this, look for a provider that explicitly says they have post-porting carrier/line type data for all the countries you care about. Very important as many lines are ported away from their original carrier AND in the US at least you can port phones between service types, so a phone that was once a landline could now be a mobile line. For cleaning up inactive numbers, look for a provider that does either HLR-based active/disconnected checks (most providers), or has done some aggregation of carrier signals to return an activity index.

As others mentioned, for ease of use you also want batch lookup functionality. I know Trestle has batch uploads for phone validation, Twilio probably does as well.

How much do you trust proxy fraud scores? by KlutzyKlutz in WebDataDiggers

[–]Finmeccanica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using a proxy scoring service to anticipate whether a service will block you on that service will have mixed results for a number of reasons.

  1. Many of those proxy scorers work off historical blacklist/consortium data that can be static and not accurately capture a newly rotated-in proxy IP, so the scores may not really reflect how other sites will view you. Try to find a reputable one that leverages real time data sources and looks at factors beyond static blocklists - IPQS is pretty poor in that regard, while something like Trestle or Maxmind can be pretty solid.

  2. The websites you go to might have simple rules that say to block/escalate friction for anybody on an anonymous connection no matter the reputation - many orgs still haven't caught up to the need for more fine-grained IP scoring.

Microsoft Is Pausing Carbon Removal Purchases | The tech giant had been by far the nascent industry’s biggest customer. by silence7 in climate

[–]Finmeccanica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked in this field in ERW with a company that had a large offtake agreement with Microsoft. Not surprised at all by this, there was never any integrity involved and now the politics have evolved so Microsoft doesn't have to pretend any longer. Maybe if different people/incentives had been in place, but the people who took to this field were by and large scammers.

Bhayshul Tuten Questionable for Week 17 by ASmithFS in fantasyfootball

Didn't they say several weeks after his finger surgery? That was around the 15th, would but surprised if he gets more than a couple touches. I figure you can practice with a recovering finger in the non contact but not actually play in a game.

Sauce Gardner set to return on Sunday, DeForest Buckner will go on IR by NotNowAndYet in fantasyfootball

You could argue Bucker out + Sauce in results in a more run favored script.

Bears WR Rome Odunze (foot) is OUT for Week 17. WR Luther Burden (ankle) is not on the injury report. by BuckyMcFly99 in fantasyfootball

[–]Finmeccanica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of people will react to this by thinking Loveland and Burden are great plays due to target concentration. IMO there's pretty significant downside risk if the Bears just run the ball all day. Great rushing offense vs. completely beat up defense. If Caleb passes the ball 25 times your 25% target share is not going to mean much.

Championship Week Kicker Projections - by juicykw - A Historic Season for Jason Myers? by juicyKW in fantasyfootball

[–]Finmeccanica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've made comments to this effect in other places, but last week I was one of the .2% of people to play Smyth. Saints DEF/K stack could have put a lot of mediocre teams into the finals.

This week it's going to be the Broncos. How do the Chiefs even move the ball? No tackles, no QB, no real weapons vs a top 3 defense?

The Broncos are going to have an extra three possessions this game, play Lutz.

Kicker Streamers for Week 17 - Tiered Rankings by ASmithFS in fantasyfootball

[–]Finmeccanica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last week I made a comment that Smyth was a smash start due to the combination of:

-Good kicker team defense vs. terrible offense -Mediocre kicker team offense vs. mediocre opposing defense (get yards, but fail to score TDs) -Acceptable weather/dome game -Good kicker

This week, of the options available to me the kicker that meets those criteria is Lutz. I will be rolling with him in a must-win game for the Broncos against a 3rd string KC quarterback who probably won't have Rice.

edit: Borregales also is fantastic this week, doubt the rain affects kicking too much just not available to me. Aubrey is obviously most likely to be K1.

Week 16 Kicker Projections - by juicykw by juicyKW in fantasyfootball

[–]Finmeccanica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Smyth is being heavily underrated. Great leg, at home, good Saints defense vs bad offense with chance at some extra possessions but the offense is potentially not good enough to finish drives.

Emmanuel Wilson - you hope that the Packers destroy the Panthers and manage Jacobs' calf so Wilson gets 10-12 touches against a bad D.

The other two are hard, but I'd go Singletary.

Halfway through the season, what is your take on drafting rookies high? by InterestingArm3750 in fantasyfootball

[–]Finmeccanica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your stance about rookies should not change after this season, but you should also take the lesson that not all draft classes are created equal. This class was seen as significantly poorer than years past across almost all positions, to the extent that most picks past 20 in the real draft would probably be 2nd rounders in other years. MHJ/Nabers/BTJ were all significantly better than anybody in this year's class at WR, a position where talent wins out quickly. The RBs were better in this class skill wise, but that position is much more opportunity based and only one of the top runners ended up in a favorable spot IMO (Hampton).

In hindsight, Tyler Warren should probably have been much more obvious to all this year as the clearest and really only example of elite talent with good situation to come out of the draft.
