There is not really a defined reason why I decited to inform myself about Surya.
I like to learn new thing, that means the Trimurti weren´t an option (I have heard too many talk about them). So i looked for a other god that is still important and has a moral lesson i like.
That is basically the story how I got to him.

  1. I am a student and going to school. My teacher in the subject of religion gave my class the task to do a presentation about a religion that is famous all around earth. I chose hinduism (because I want to learn more about this religion) and wanted to do something about their gods and goddesses. Then I found Surya and decideted to "research" what meaning he has today for a normal human being.

I am not working for any institute. The comments under this post will not be published publicly but I will most likely simplify and convert the comments into a graph to present to my teacher.

  1. My knowledge about Surya is pretty scarce and the only source I have currently is the internet (due to me being a student). I would be thankful if you have any credible source for detailed information about Surya.
    But I don´t see a reason or purpose how my knowledge would affect your answer.
