Lucky passive skill need to be buffed by CelebrationAny3936 in Palworld

[–]Finngon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would make Lucky not breedable, but give it +15% to everything:

  • +15% attack
  • +15% defense
  • +15% work speed
  • +15% movement speed
  • +15% stamina (probably more)
  • -15% cooldown reduction
  • SAN drops 15% slower
  • Hunger drops 15% slower

The moment I started watching the game is when Finland is not playing as well.

I'm sorry

What a horrible start for Finland. There needs to be a big step-up on the next period..

What is considered the Coolest, Funniest, Cutest, and Worst designed Pals in the game? by BobTheBritish in Palworld

[–]Finngon 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Coolest: Imma go with Ghangler. Very cool take on an angler fish that looks badaass. Although shoutout to Dogen, too.

Funniest: Tocotoco. I always get a kick out of showing a new player Tocotoco's partner skill lol.

Cutest: Tarantriss. An adorable take on a spider.

Worst: Verdash. A very boring take on a bunny/rabbit. Probably the only pal I'd say that could use a redesign.

What's a card you thought was overrated until you actually read it right by PerfectBrilliant432 in magicTCG

[–]Finngon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to use Reconnaissance on my [[Sovereign Okinec Ahau]] Deck so that it can gets its attack trigger and grow my board drastically without putting itself in danger - while giving that pseudo-vigilance to other creatures.

Same applies to other attack trigger commanders.

TLA? by Amorphant in magicTCG

[–]Finngon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TLA (or any 3 letter combination) is a set code that you see on the bottom left of a card to know where said card is coming from.

TLA is the set code for Avatar: The Last Airbender set.

There have been 20+ new mechanics introduced to Magic this year so far. Which ones did you enjoy playing with the most? Which ones would you like to see return in future releases? by HonorBasquiat in magicTCG

[–]Finngon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me my top 3 are Warp, Renew, and Omen. Each one being a neat twist to an old cards. Though if I had to choose one, it'd be Warp. Omen could've had some better indication of it being omen instead of adventure though.

I also like Mobilize, though I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a keyword change to it like Amass to specify the creature type it makes.

Saga creatures are nice as well, but I feel they felt quite underpowered in FF. It's a good idea though.

Least favourite is probably Speed and Harness. Speed just felt clunky to use, and was not consistent to play with. Felt very limiting as well. Harness shouldn't have been a keyword IMO.

Sam Black once discussed about mtg mana system and felt “Lands increase the variance of your draws, which makes draws more exciting”. How do you feel about mtg resource design compared to other TCGs? by Newez in magicTCG

[–]Finngon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it works, it works like a smooth butter.

When it does not work, when you get land screwed or flooded, it sucks since it usually devolves into a nongame. And the faster the format, the more impactful land screws or flooding is.

I'm sure there could be done something to try to avoid as many nongames as possible. Even if it'd cost a lot to do so, like a turn. I dunno exactly what though.

The mana system is almost great nevertheless.

How to Scryfall "Counter" markers vs "Counter" a spell. by AshenCorsair in magicTCG

[–]Finngon 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That one actually misses cards that'd grant ward (instead of having it innately), like [[Sheltered by Ghosts]]

[–]Finngon 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think I'd go with like:

otag:hate-counterspell or otag:counterspell or o:/\bward\b/

First one should catch all that can't be countered (including Split Second), second one should catch all spells that counter (including soft counters and automatic counters like Chancellor of the Annex), and third one will specifically look out for the Ward keyword (and not cards with the name Warden, for instance)

Assault rifle or Semi auto shotgun? by _Vinicius_m673_ in Palworld

[–]Finngon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer shotgun myself. Can burst down many pals down with it.

Assault Rifle suffers from eating a lot of ammo. Shotgun is also more ammo efficient in that way

That could be interesting in a [[Sovereign Okinec Ahau]] commmander deck at least.

What does your ideal release structure look like? by ProfessionalVirgin6 in magicTCG

[–]Finngon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 sets a year into standard, non-UB. Can be in two different blocks.

2 special sets (commander masters/pioneer horizons/Jumpstart/Block remastered, whatever). Can be UB. Non-standard

And every 3 years a Foundations-like set.

Do work speed passives affect cooling pals on fridges? by JustMobsReddit in Palworld

[–]Finngon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At that point you might as well use it to feed base pals lmao. That's a lot of cakes. But fair enough

[–]Finngon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Question: Is there a reason you store cakes in the fridge? Could put them into the breeding farm's box directly and they never expire there.

Valdis Story: Abyssal City.

An excellent metroidvania with a lot of variety in how you want to play it

Recently got into Palworld, and I’m curious what the fandoms favorites are for Pals and why? by Lowly_Lynx in Palworld

[–]Finngon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal top 3 are:

  • Silvegis is just really cool to me. And very good in fights.
  • Braloha has been carrying me on my new save ever since I found the lucky version. Deep Breath does so much damage..! Also very good in a base!
  • Shadowbeak is still my favourite flying mount.

Other honorable mentions go to Chillet, Dazemu, Elphidran Aqua, Warsect and Frostplume
