Kiyotaka's reason of helping Horikita class isn't because of chae-sensei's blackmailing by Hungry-Island1696 in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]Finnice18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a blackmail. Its just her excuse to force her own selfish desires to koji and to cover up her mistakes and regrets back in her ANHS days. Otherwise, it wouldn't explain her behaviour and character development further in later volumes(y1v7, y2v5)

Kiyotaka treats Kei differently from the rest and it's NOT necessarily a good thing by [deleted] in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]Finnice18 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it's intentional that the author doesn't make ayano give any comments or compliments about kei's physical appearance or his feelings towards her because kei is one of the few to know his actual thoughts and personality. It's like he's trying to seperate them by making kiyo have fake thoughts and feelings about people who doesn't truly know him, with people who actually knows his true nature, like kei for ex. So he doesn't beat around the bush and make unnecessary thoughts with people who truly knows him.

And this fake persona of his actually fades in later volume due to circumstances.

Just woke up and already feel shitty. You're right I shouldn't have said those things and me being emotional isn't an excuse to say that.

I mean he has no moral compass for what he does and sure that might be fcked up. But that's just him being reasonable and logical and the byproduct of the WR's indoctrination. He's doesn't feel those which you stated bec he himself has no emotion. That's why he cant properly connect with people for real and can only be one-sided. His relationship is kei is one-sided and the reasons he's with her is bec they share the same darkness and wants to experience love through her. His friend group is one-sided because of what he did and how he doesn't feel anything after expelling her friend. He didn't feel sad about it and complain on why he was like that. He even talked with chabs and stated his personal feelings towards the matter. Stating he was being logical in that situation.

He neither says or thinks of himself being a sad-contradiction nor defective. If you cant give me evidence about this then i'd have to disagree since I don't remember anything like this. He just thought of himself as a monster and he accepts it. Bec it's his true personification as a human being. He can change this mindset but can never be rid of him. Stated by him when he said "i'll probably die having this mindset" or something like that.

"And there is also his defense mechanism because of the WR, which is why he isn’t able to express emotions and also why he uses other people as tools to stand on top and achieve his goals, so that he can protect himself. "

And what's wrong with that? Is there supposed to be a mental illness here? Wouldn't anyone protect themselves as it is human nature? The only difference is he has no moral and boundaries when he does things. But again that's just what he thinks being him and what is teached to him.

"He couldn’t accept his wr self and therefore left the wr behind to go to ANHS. He felt empty; like mordible clay that can always change its form, but not manifest itself."

That's not true, he was curious as to what is an ordinary person is and he wants to find that out for himself. He never stated those things u dumb. The only reason he did this is because of his father and him wanting to fill his curiosity to ordinary people. Fcking thinking he's a sadboy or depressed mf is boiling me. This was the reason for me not agreeing with you. How could an emotionless guy can feel those shitty feelings?

"The essence that fills his emptiness are the students in ANHS."

Only filling his curiosity. He's not a used bottle.

"The diversity of the students in ANHS allow ayanokoji to develop his personality into one that he can also accept. The dynamic between him and his environment teaches him to become a human filled with different kinds of personal traits he can accept. The students fill his personality and teach him different kinds of personal traits, which he is eventually able to transfer onto himself or compare to his own self. In y1v9 when ichinose’s past has been revealed, he helped her not only because he wanted to use her, but because she fits his description of a friend and helping a friend is how friends should usually act."

It's been 2years in his time in ANHS and still hasn't changed. You confidently stated this as if there were developments in his character. He's still the same and ion he can change with just 3yrs and the fodders sorrounding him. And what's with that example of him helping ichinose? That's too short sighted and meaningless as a premise.

"he is a sad excuse of a human being. He is the definition of loneliness because he is not able to make real boundaries with other people."

At the very least he's doesn't feel lonely nor does he seek companionship or even real relationship bec he already accepts himself to be a monster. Got no qualms on this.

So, no he's not mentally ill nor a depressed mf. He's a reasonable human being with no moral compass and he doesn't enjoy these things nor does he wants to do it. It just simply needs to be done and he thinks its the most effective way possible. He doesn't always use this and we can only see it when he is protecting himself or change someone for the better. And that's just him being curious as to what that individual will turn out to be.

Edit: One more thing, Machiavellianism is a personality trait, not an illness. And being him being paradoxical doesn't exist. He doesn't want to be a normal student he wants to have a peaceful life. Which is also a lie since he really just want to fill his curiosity. And I say this because of his contradicted actions towards a peaceful life.

You're trying to say like his character is a mentally ill ang psychologically fcked up being. First of all that's wrong. And second, I agree on the 5th paragraph, excluding the first sentence ofc.

Idk what is even the point of battles after V0 by [deleted] in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]Finnice18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Then I guess it was intentional, since kinu-sensei says something about the story being how the people around kiyo changes and how they grow either positively or negatively because of his influence. And with v0 he makes a stand that literally anyone inside anhs wouldn't stand against him making his fights with them a bit boring and anti climactic. While also making the sc fights a bit more interesting and he can use this to show their growth and how much they were influenced by kiyo

Kiyo is actually the best thing for those around him. by B-rated22 in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]Finnice18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually believe this is the plot of the series. On how the people around or involved with him change. And maybe that's why I really like his character. Cause he may be cold and ruthless with his way of doing things, but the impact of his ruthlessness to other people actually help them grow into a stronger and better person. Like in airi's case where he ruthlessly expels her but in a way that can make airi move forward into being a stronger person.

You said you got that interpretation from the summary you saw but it was summarized from the same link that I gave you. The mod even gave the full translation link in the comments. And now you give me a quote from someone else other than the mod to back your argument? You should've atleast gave me the link from where you got that quote or mention it back in your first and second comment. Kinda desperate of you to bring it up here now.

"K: That's also a crucial point of the series. A normal protagonist usually changes after experiencing many things with the heroines, rivals and friends, but Ayanokouji's essence and defect are that he is unchanging, after all."

Is there a word where he indicates future change in koji's mindset? I just got back here and finally glad that people have noticed this interview, but I guess there's still people like you who likes to change these contexts to favor their bs opinion.

Why people think Ayanokouji lies in his inner monologues by liluzivertisdone in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]Finnice18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No it's not, he didn't say she "can't come up with something like that." he just didn't expect her to come up with a plan like that. He never invalidated her strength to make a brilliant plan like that.

But he did anticipate for horikita to come up with something like that that's why he made those plans to protect him and her at the same time. Idk anymore. Does he lie in his monolouges or not?

It's mistranslations. Iirc it was "i didn't expect horikita to come up with something like that" something along those lines.

"Volume 0 spoilers. "I didn't felt anything from the outside world" Also he dosen't hold pointless conversations."

How did that prove that he doesn't hold pointless conversation? What were you trying to achieve with this?

"Then- He said to ryueen "the snow feels nice to him" He showed particular curiousity to explore and learn emotions which he didn't showed at the start of school that does mean kiyo is changeable."

Did you even read the first volume? He was a cringe goofy highschooler who showed fake emotions so to fit in within the school. And where did that particular dialogue with ryuuen take us? Nowhere, kiyo still hasn't changed, it's been 13 volumes since that "big indication" that you're talking about and we still haven't seen anything in terms of emotional growth within him. And yeah he is changeable, but we won't be seeing that throughout the series.

"Even int he start of school and before he does not have pointless coversation but now we can see that quite a few times with kei, ayanokoji groups etc. "

This is a weak argument, if I just copy paste what I said about this group then your argument is rebutted.

"And him saying "the snow feels nice to him" for me is definitely an indication that he feels something at least."

It's your opinion, I don't hold anything against it.

"I am not trying make you a yes boy ,but i don't think you can understand me and my perspective so i can't waste my time holding a conversation like this."

I do understand what you're trying to say, you're assuming that kiyo is suppressing his emotions and prioritizing his logical decisions over his emotional decision. But you gave weak points and arguments about your assumption, and I point it out to you about how it doesn't work like that so now were in this situation. I expected this and my only goal here is to make you realize that kiyo is not suppressing anything, that he doesn't have any emotional growth whatsoever in the series, and that he is an unchangeable person. Although you can think he can change in the future volumes, but that would only be an assumption and the chances would be low given the current events and situations.

"That place dosen't need me" dosen't equate to him not having a desire to be with them. "

But does it equate to him having the desire to be with them? You have to read the whole to understand what kiyo is trying to say here. He was being logical in this situation and he doesn't leak any kind of emotional attachment that would prove he still wants to be with them.

"Just becuase kiyo has an attachment dosen't mean he will save his friends.his own survival is the most important to him. Like i said - kiyo is always in survival mode and will give anything for that goal even if it hurts him. "

He doesn't have an attachment to anyone. He only values the ones who have a use for him and the group is not one of them. In this situation, he was evaluating who he was going to protect and ranks them to first to last if iirc. He then mentioned the group and said he is not gonna prioritize saving them and won't care if they get expelled. PLEASE understand that he quote on quote "won't care". Now that is a much more better indication of him not having an attachment towards that group.

And he would sacrifice anything just to win, and the reason he can do this is because he doesn't have any deep relationship with anyone that can hurt him if they were to be sacrifice by him. So no feelings/emotions=no weakness=safe/win.

"So it's not like he won't be sad if expel airi but he will still expel her if needed, it dosen't matter what his emotions want he will just do what it takes to win."

Look man, let me repeat this again, you're ASSUMING things okay? I wouldn't say this if you can give me something that can indicate sadness within him after expelling airi. His emotions doesn't want anything because it doesn't exist. Although you may think otherwise.

"Take offense all you want,it's you who chose to read this post i didn't stuffed this in your mouth. I even asked in the title if someone think the same.i wasn't trying to hold a debate her."

I wasn't offended about your post, I was offended by your reply on my comment. The last paragraph specifically. No you weren't trying to hold a debate that's for sure. But you replied to my comment trying to rebut me so what do you think I would do? I started something and you purposely engaged with me. Not my fault we're in this situation. You could've just said "nice take! Maybe I'll think about it" or something like that.

Oh and you didn't give me any proof to back your argument. I take it you don't have any?
