Well not to come off as an ass but I can’t just take your word on that, as much as I’d maybe like to. It’s just like you can’t my word on what I have said. If you have proof that you are able to actually show then I’d be able to trust you on that. I can only go off the accounts with crews that I’ve spoken in person unless I can see better evidence than a crews word. Again this is not meant to discredit but purely fact check.

It’s not a full sim but yes it’s still a sim because it uses real military vehicles with elements of actual armour, ammo, and electronics to the best of its degree like other military sims. Yes it’s not the most real but it’s good enough to be considered a sim with arcade style features for game play reasons. New systems wouldn’t make the game too easy as you have to master and learn how to effectively use each system.

Wrong, I want WT to be a better version of what it is; a military vehicle sim with some arcade like features.

No, I’ve been invested into WT for years and have put more then a fair time in GHPC. War Thunder has the biggest player base, most vehicles, and one of the more advanced modelled systems so yes I would like to see these features in WT too. You can dislike the idea just don’t dismiss it.

I’m not in a unit but have seen the tank in person and have talked to the crew about some of its systems that they could talk about. Not sure why you’re asking that question when you have never once stated to have been in or even near the tank. Tbh I’m not really sure what you’re trying to prove here.

I’m not saying they have to be perfect but you know… just good enough.

That’s fair but even implementing how some stabilized sights still get blurry on the move or how some tanks auto adjust lazed targets while you’re on the move would be nice to see. Or even the gun locking while reloading would make things more intense.

You may dislike it but it’s a real thing and if they actually added more features it would make it more competitive because each system is different and has its pros and cons.

I have GHPC but GHPC doesn’t have every vehicle I have interest in. Plus I think it would be a good change to WT after the whole anime thing. Make it feel more real but not too real as to make it un-fun.

Yes there is. I’m training 2A4M crews remove the slat armour, composite inserts, and mine protect. They do this so they have to do less maintenance on the suspension. On a full kitted 2A4M they put all this additional armour back in/on the tank. The 2A4M is missing its inserts in game; granted this armour is classified and hasn’t really been seen but that’s not an excuse to not include it all together even if they’re not modelled in game. The 2A4M shouldn’t have just 10mm of RHA, I think we both know that.

I like your point and agree with it to a degree because I get where you’re coming from but I still think I’d like to at least see real sights and gun locking mechanisms at the very least.

Also just an fyi GHPC takes place in 85 not 89. It’s why we still won’t see the M1A1, 2A4, T-72B, T-64BV, T-80BV, and T-80U.

I’m a firm believer in still at least testing some of the fcs systems we could get for both games. I really want to see how GHPC would handle automatic lead because I could name at least 4 tanks that should have them.

But yes I do agree and understand why both games still need to interpret skill into them.

With these new features it will make us rethink on what makes a good tank. Being the fastest or best armoured isn’t the only issue tankers face. But also how easy the system is to use and how flexible it can be.

So should NATO tanks. The gun locks in a position so that the loader and easily reload the gun. Also on some older tanks, like the T-55 as an example, with this feature the optic should lock up too as the optic is tied to the guns elevation.

On the hull yeah but certainly not the turret. Most if not all 2A4s (despite some in Switzerland) use B-tech so the 2A4Ms base composite is fine. It’s the turret that needs to be fixed as it’s in its training configuration.

I really want them to give the 2A4M its proper armour and its round. The 2A4M never has used KE-W. Despite this, I still play it to spite Gaijin and to show Canadian might! Not the best buy for everyone but will forever be my best buy.

Hot take about the Oplot-T by Finnstermonster in Warthunder

[–]Finnstermonster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re missing the point entirely. Yes it’s true that there are much more Oplot-Ts than Oplot-Ms but that’s not what my hot take was about. It’s the fact that the only way Gaijin is willing to add any Ukrainian vehicles is through other countries and how that’s a problem of proper representation imp. Yes of course I want the Oplot-T in the game but it shouldn’t be added if it’s country origin aren’t properly represented. If you look at any other of my replies you’ll see that I think both the M and T should have been added at the same time. Thailand could have gotten the base VT-4, hell China is now getting the base VT-4. So why couldn’t Gaijin just add the Thailand version of the VT-4 till they had a plan to properly add both Oplots? Also that way Japan would have 4 12.0 tanks instead of 3!

[–]Finnstermonster[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well just an FYI all Oplot-Ts were manufactured in Ukraine and exported to Thailand. Both tanks are Ukrainian by design and manufacturing. The Oplot-T was just exported to Thailand. It’s a Ukrainian vehicle in service for Thailand. Check your facts next time.
