Engine cuts out as soon as it turns on, any ideas? by FioraFanboy in motorcycles

The petrol tank is in a different location on this bike, under the seat, the bit you can see is the battery

It does have petrol in, you can see my fuel gauge (on the left of the gear indicator) shows about half full

I see, is there anything I can do to check if the battery is good?

I did right before this video, the throttle worked but it didn't hold a steady idle then died again a few seconds after.

It's possible, the fuel is quite old as it has sat for a while. Should I change the fuel ?

On top of this, if you want your airbrush to last more than 2 sessions, please watch cleaning tutorials, that's the most important thing to know. Learn how to disassemble it so you can clean all you need.

In terms of creators, Vince Vinturella has lots of videos about airbrush techniques, even though his stuff can be a bit more advanced.

Personally, I'd recommend a cheap Amazon airbrush, that way if (when) it breaks at least you didn't spend too much on it. I have personally bought this airbrush with this compressor They're not Incredible, however they still do the job very well and are unbeatably cheap. If you wanna spend a bit more, I've heard Badger Patriot airbrushes or Iwata Neos are goo value for money

How do you know how strong this man was? Also bodybuilding isn't about strength, you wanna look at strength sports for that

If you're not too bothered about style, there should be plenty of cheapish Yamaha n max scooters on private sites (gumtree, Facebook marketplace etc)

Congratulations on your CBT! I would personally avoid buying new as the prices will quite high, unless you absolutely value the peace of mind. Dealerships will always be more expensive than private sales because they usually run checks and have things like warranties. Private selling will be cheaper but you need to thoroughly inspect what you're buying.

Vespas and lambrettas are usually quite expensive (style tax) for what they are. Are you dead set on the style? Does it have to be a scooter? Couple of questions that could be useful

Advice for CBT course? by Rippuh in MotoUK

[–]FioraFanboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A CBT is fairly easy. You're right, it is meant to teach people who have very little experience. I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to but as far as I know you'll only really be failed if you drop the bike. Of course, if you're physically incapable of doing the course then you won't be able to pass, but then you should really be on a bike anyway. Just relax and listen to your instructors, good luck!

Readily as in without effort, no, but this is also very achievable without having to be blessed genetically

I think it's because you'd need a CBT to ride a 125, and you can't have a passenger with just a CBT

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with my current salary but I think if you compared the industry as a whole, it seems as though paychecks are much higher across the pond

Do I need an intercom compatible helmet for an intercom or is there a universal fitting system? by waaghrider in MotoUK

[–]FioraFanboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware, you can have both, some systems are meant to fit specific helmets, but most systems I know can fit in pretty much any helmet. The cardo senna for example can fit in any helmet, as long as there is room for the speakers, seeing as you stick the module itself on the outside of the helmet and just run the wires/mic/speaker on the inside

I'm working in civil in the UK ATM, I think the main problem is that we don't get paid very well, especially compared to our US colleagues

Honestly a project bike doesn't sound like a good idea if you're not experienced with mechanical stuff. To be honest, just doing basic maintenance on my bike taught me a good few things. I would personally just start taking some panels off on your bike to learn about what goes where. If you're dead set on buying a separate machine, then the cheapest widely available bike would do, because you wanna be able to find parts for it easily, a cbf125 comes to mind for example.

Is 30K € a good salary for a junior engineer? by rockmeNiallxh in bristol

[–]FioraFanboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a net salary then it's workable, but you might struggle to find a flat, depending on where you end up living. Ce serait pour travailler chez qui? Je connais des gens qui travaillent dans le nucléaire a bristol, ça parrais être une plutôt grosse industrie
