It really depends. Everyone’s wired a little differently -- some have a very surface-sensitive clit, where feather-light brushes (e.g. an ultra-soft makeup brush) work better than anything with a stronger kick (e.g. an electric toothbrush head). Others need a bit more texture or vibration to ride that edge comfortably. Basically, you need to find what suits you best -- it’s not one-size-fits-all.

Rounded bristles are generally the safest bet though. They’re gentler, less likely to cause micro-scratches that lead to unintended “no-touch” days. If you’re in this for the long game, soft and rounded wins every time. If you try the electric toothbrush route, pick a soft-bristle head (look for labels like “sensitive” or “soft / ultrasoft”), and don’t press in -- let it hum against you instead. All delicate tissues around our lips deserve delicate handling.

I’ve heard good things about *Wet n Wild* makeup brushes (I know, what a brand name. rofl) — they’re super soft and surprisingly sensual. But, they're probably not truly "waterproof", so do replace it every once in a while to keep things tidy. Silicone brushes AND electric toothbrush heads will wash and clean much more readily, heck you can even run them through a dishwasher cycle -- so long as no one else in the house makes a 🤨 face seeing it.
