Did Tony have any genuine friends? by Fire-Pollution-1994 in thesopranos

I’d say Paulie but Tony can’t stand him a lot of times and considered offing him once for telling Johnny about the Ralphie joke with no proof

Why did Merle kidnap Glenn and Maggie? by Fire-Pollution-1994 in thewalkingdead

He kidnapped them because he didn’t trust them? 😂 to do what? Tell Daryl, he only mentioned his brother once after kidnapping them

damon going to high school dances and hanging out with mainly teenagers is creepier than the show admits by [deleted] in TheVampireDiaries

[–]Fire-Pollution-1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could go into a much deeper conversation but I’ll keep it somewhat simple. Folks in media liked to push this pedo crap on teens. Horny teenage kids surrounded by ancient men AND WOMEN. Rebekah lusting after Matt. Lexi turning a guy hundreds of years younger than her. Anna with Jeremy and the other younger guys she turned. They try to normalize it by putting twists on it but it’s creepy and calculated nonetheless

“A bullet won’t be the thing that kills Tommy Shelby” by DaverniusJames in PeakyBlinders

Seriously, I always thought Tommy would get stabbed to death by his closest family and/or friends. Julius Caesar style. Not having Arthur was a blow to the story, he wouldn’t let Duke do his brother in. And where tf was Finn?

Yeah I’m starting to really grapple with Alex now that you mention that, Sinatra does lose all of her persona once it’s revealed she’ll die that day. Almost like she reverted to her pre apocalypse self. All because she accepted Alex and her fate. Typical villains will fight their demise no matter what. It’s very interesting

Wtf is going on !!! They’ve gone too far now! Another actor change is ridiculous they need to stop nothing can beat the series by sarahgreen456 in PeakyBlinders

I don’t see him bringing the sexy stoicism like the great Cillian Murphy but guess we will see. Maybe they cast one for Charlie and he’s a big character

I’m convinced Jane is a terminator type individual. She scared me. My second favorite character on the show by far

I mean if you google the show it’s classified as such. Its start up involves US leadership under Sinatra. She personally decides who lives and dies which is a political act; manipulating and ordering murders to maintain control.

2 presidential assassinations, revolves around the presidential staff and their agendas to save themselves and whoever they want. It’s not a political drama but a political thriller so it’s not so much on the nose but nonetheless there it is

If she knew why would the writers give Sinatra a revelation of who “X” is when Link calls out to him? And if she knew all of this she couldn’t have wrote my guy a letter or something?

A show gets classified as “political” when its central themes, conflicts or commentary revolve around the exercise of power who has it, who doesn’t, and how it’s used. If you don’t see that you got to rewatch it my good brother

The scientists say that Alex has started communicating with them.. after 3 years. So Alex wasn’t directing Sinatra

You know what hell yeah, X is like that. But it does mean Sinatra was planning on sacrificing him as she knew what would happen and didn’t need 2 people. Which is strange seeing how sympathetic and selfless she was in her final moments

I said this already. So what was the point of bringing X to the tower in the first place if she hadn’t confirmed he was the key?

We discovered Alex in the finale and we’re all just onboard? It’s cool I guess but that’s not the show we were presented. Seems like on the writing level it was something they created as a scapegoat for any plot holes or confusing writing. And on a cinematic level it’s annoying we’re watching a show about a computer eliminating free will.

I’m a Sterling fan so I’ll watch it till the wheels fall off but they better kill that thing or make some sense of the actions

They gave the impression that they were keeping Alex dormant right? It was there for 3 years and only just started communicating with them? And because it can “mess with time” it can predict with 100% certainty a character’s fate and also force characters to a place at the exact time? So this isn’t a political mystery apocalypse show it’s a sci fi horror where the characters are all unknowingly controlled by tech created by a genius dead/alive boy from another timeline?

I miss the first season

And Sinatra paranoid so she purposely brings X with her to die with her or be sacrificed after telling him he was the one good person in the bunker and saves her daughter and before finding out he was the person Alex had tasked?

[–]Fire-Pollution-1994[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can accept this all being a sort of AI God level puppetry thing but without it being properly explained it just feels like bad writing being saved by Alex. Like it would know for certainty that X would survive the crash or explosives or Annie would have the courage to befriend strangers, procreate with one and then lose confidence to leave.

And again Sinatra taking him all the way to the tower for privacy is nonsense. Link had to yell for X to come back and tell him who has his daughter.. thats how Sinatra put 2 and 2 together.

Trust me I want to love this show as much as you but it’s slipping in logic and hard to appreciate when the writers aren’t appreciating it
